Quote:No, my opinions will not "mature". The fact you think that once I have a daughter means my opinions will "mature" shows you have no sense of objectivity on this matter. People superimpose the incident onto themselves and think about it from the standpoint of "well if it were a woman in my life I would be [BAD WORD REMOVED]" and not from the standpoint of what is actually fair. She put her hands on him first, period. Forget physical superiority. I can bench 300lbs+ and if a weaker guy put his hands on me after already agitating me and I snap on his [BAD WORD REMOVED], I am not deplorable for it. But, because it was a woman, Mixon is the scum of the Earth. But yet, the same people claiming these things will say women should be equals to men and not treated differently. No, what people are really advocating for is an unfair society where women have the complete advantage because men are evil, I guess. If you believe that women should be treated no differently from men, then you should not see Mixon as a scum for hitting one who hit him first.
And in case anyone tries to misconstrue my statement, I have already said that what he did was a MISTAKE. HOWEVER, that mistake does not make him a scum, evil, unforgivable, or whatever other hyperbolic over reactionary labels people want to give him. If the girl doesn't want to get clocked then she should not put her hands on people, period. The so called "victim" is not innocent in this incident but because of PC outrage she gets all the sympathy. Dumb.
Has nothing to do with man vs woman.
It's a 200lb trained athlete punching a pretty harmless maybe 130lb person that clearly doesn't have close to the muscle mass that mixon does.
I would draft Mixon, starting in the 5th round

Then she shouldn't hit him.

The girl and her friend removed themselves from whatever situation happened outside.
Mixon went out of his way to follow them into the building and continued to look for a confrontation. He keep saying whatever to her and when she didn't react, he proceeded to say something to her friend. That's when she barely touched him.
If he doesn't go out of his way looking for a confrontation (with a small women and a small gay guy for that matter), none of this ever happens. He also has shown no remorse in the matter. I'd be willing to bet he hasn't learned a single thing from this situation and wouldn't be surprised if it happens again sometime down the road.
Doesn't excuse her from putting her hands on him.

What she did was not assault. What he did was assault.
One committed a crime. One didn't.
Since when does pushing and hitting another person not qualify as assault?
Whether you think it's ok to punch a woman or not (and I'm a bit surprised there is anyone who thinks it is!) his behaviour has to set off alarm bells about his judgement. And the danger of him doing equally stupid in the future.
And before anyone says "we've all done silly things in our youth", this is not the same as peeing in the fountain or something like that - this is a serious assault.
Yeah I've never known or met anyone who has clocked a woman like that and been a decent human.
That said if we drafted him, as soon as he makes a good run or scores a TD I'll be cheering for him.
Ty Hill best up a pregnant women and hit her in the stomach repeatedly.
Even still thousands of women cheer for him every Sunday when brings one to the house.

Not me.

Mixon scores a 70 yard TD to beat the colts in overtime. How do you react?

I probably won't watch.
Compares to Lev'eon Bell, Jags must draft this guy.

That's just someone's opinion and you know what they say about opinions................

Turn around and slug my wife in the mouth. It is what Joe would want.

As in you wouldn't watch any jaguars games if we draft Mixon?

I don't know. Hopefully, I won't have to make that choice.

Good one!

If the kid had acted remotely repentant about the whole thing then that might bring some people around. However, the kid has actually come off with an attitude about it as if people shouldn't be concerned about him KOing women. When asked by a reporter if he regretted anything, the kid said outright "no".
