And you said he was butt hurt. God I hate that saying.
Jag'n off is hilarious. There's your name.
Cool man. I'll check it out!
Quote:Now let's take a break for station identification and a word from our sponsors............Kleenex and lots and lots of lotion
that's a good one.
Quote:How would you know how many jobs I work? Oh thats right, you do not. As for not "having time" to change things....funny, you have time to post here, which takes about the same amount of time. As for the supporting the team thing, I do. You have this odd superiority complex as a fan for a guy that was (and still is an out of town fan). You were living in Jax for like 3 minutes and from that very moment I saw you start making posts calling out others fandom, --- and what makes you a flat out FRAUD is you USED to be the guy that would argue in defense of the out of town fan when you were still in Connecticut.

Teal Time was lame too, but at least it was better than "Jagn".

It would be nice if you would find a way to grow up.

That's all, just gain a little maturity. This constant arguing and derailing threads to make your petty little points is what makes you so annoying. It's not that you always make valid points and others just cannot handle the truth, it's because you are so predictable and repetitive.

I know, right? I made about five replies that I realized were not within the CoC even as I typed them.
I find the name mildly offensive if you're trying to appeal to a broader audience, and really, a cheap way to try to get attention.  If the show was better, that wouldn't be necessary.

Ehhh, it's pretty funny.  Plus, this is a small show.  It isn't like he is creating ESPN.
Old people love to kill the fun.

I listened. Not bad for a fan show. Certainly better than other attempts I've heard.
Oh and I agree with FBT, if you want mass appeal, the name needs to go. The reality is you're going to alienate some people when you use something like that -- case in point, look at this thread.

It's got nothing to do with killing the fun, or being old. It has everything to do with having mass appeal and a little common sense.  Double entendres can be clever.  This one isn't.  It's juvenile.

If you want to be taken seriously, you don't have a show title that turns off a good portion of your audience before they've even listened.  The title tells them all they need to know about the show, whether that assumption is correct or not.

For the creator of the show to say he can't change it is ludicrous.  If that's the case, and some wizard behind a curtain provided the show name, he's doing it because it's another opportunity to smear Jag fans.

But I'm sure that's not their goal.  There have been plenty of small shows like this that developed a following, and ultimately landed somewhere like Sirius / XM or even on the air from an actual terrestrial station.  Like I said above, if you want to be taken seriously, and you want to grow your audience and potentially take it further than just some podcast with buddies, that's not the title of the show you want to build that with.

like it or not FBT is right. I would however encourage the OP to keep working on and doing his show. You'll never get anywhere if you quit and sometimes constructive criticism can be a great thing. It just depends on how you decide to take it.

It is called Jagn  After dark.  All about the Jags and the community as well.   Not sure where this belongs.   But i am sure admins will change this to right place.  Since talks about jags players and us as fans.  It may belong here.  Listen to our show on monday nights 10:10 pm est.

Thank you ctjags.

Do you want my honest critique?  I'll give it even though you might not want to hear it.

First of all, if you really want to do something with this and grow it, get your own website and domain.  A "I wanna be a star and have my own show" website is not the place to publish it.

Next, consider "branding".  As has been hashed to death in this thread, you need to come up with a unique name that is easily remembered, creative and something that search machines on the internet will seek out and identify.

Next, get at least halfway decent equipment.  I could only bear about the first 60 seconds or so, but it sounds like a bunch of dudes sitting around a speaker phone recording while getting high.

Next, get rid of the stupid names.  I mean really, "ray ray", "bono" and "rob boogie" are supposed to be somebody that I take seriously?

Finally, practice, practice, practice then record, record, record.  Record the show at least 3 times before you publish it, and edit the you-know-what out of it to make it flow correctly and sound good.  If it's not right, then record again until it is right.  NEVER publish what you did with your first try.  That was God Awful!
Fun fact.. Dr Seus got rejected 27 times before finally getting published. Perseverance is key in sucess.
Everyone in this thread are just bunch of haters (including me). Truth be told we are just mad that we didn't think of the idea first.

Ctjags (Teal Time), keep doing what YOU do! Don't worry about any of us in this thread. What's the worst that could happen? You'll become the laughing stock of the message board? Well you don't have to worry about that because Swaguars has that title down on lock my friend.

actually, no....I'm not mad that I didn't think of the idea first....and he wasn't first anyway....Alfie and friends already did this...

and if I or anyone else really wanted to do this, we could,....just because others did it before really doesn't mean anything. The above quote speaks as if no one can do this type of thing now because ctjags did, lol....

I stand by what I said. The name is lame. Otherwise, I have no issues with the radio thing.

No, not really.  I've been around media both as a "behind the scenes" kind of person as well as "the voice on the radio" before.  Just to get to the level of a "local reporter" takes a hell of a lot of work and education.  From there to get to the point of "national recognition" takes a whole lot more.  Being a media reporter, radio broadcaster or even a journalist takes more than signing up on some website and posting your poorly produced audio/visual stuff.

I don't even know what it's supposed to mean. It's one of the dumbest disses I've seen on this board.
