Quote:I agree. Don't know much about Jensen.. He any good?

He has no idea. It's a name one of his darts happened to land on.
I could see Roy Miller being cut. Then our OW Robinson.

From a numbers perspective Miller looks safe. He is the only true NT on the team with experience. However if it doesn't look like he will come back from injury, I could see him being released
It's really simple, just look at the most crowded positions.

WR: Lee/Robinson/Shorts/Sanders are locks so you have Mike Brown, Kerry Taylor, Tandon Doss and sleepers like Damian Copeland and Allen Hurns fighting for 1-2 spots.

LEO: We have Clemons, Smith, Babin, Branch and Davis fighting for maybe 3 spots, but given the relative strength of the position I'd guess they'll keep 4.

NT/5-tech: Alualu, Abry Jones and DeAndre Coleman seem like they'll be competing for probably 2 rosters spots. People might think Alualu is a lock but Jones and Coleman might be more flexible, as well as being younger and locked up for several more years.

CB: Probably the toughest spot. I can count at least 8 guys who have a strong case for sticking so there will be 2 or 3 tough cuts here. Gratz, Ball, Blackmon, Mike and Jeremy Harris, Demetrius McCray, Rashaad Reynolds, Aaron Colvin (eventually)

I think Denard is safe unless he hasent shown any improvement which dosent seem to be the case.

Was thinking the same thing.

They just signed Doss to a FA contract. He's almost a lock to make the 53, pending health.

Mike Brown, Mike Harris, and Ryan Davis are all players on the bubble that may end up playing  elsewhere this season.

Mohammed Massaquoi says 'hello.'

Though Doss' return skills may aid him in sticking around.

I never thought Massaquoi was ever any good.

I think Caldwell is a bit better in the FA signing than that regime that signed Massaquoi.

Agreed. Just pointing out that a fresh FA signing for moderate salary is no guarantee on making the 53.

Wasnt that the same regime??

Yup. Same regime and Massaquoi's contract was larger than Doss'

His contract was peanuts. I don't think he's a lock like you think.

Huh? Massoquoi was Gene Smith, no?

No. It was last year.
The tough cuts (cuts between similarly talented players) began last year.

Difference with this year, is that the talent level has risen some.

ha, how about that....I guess it just seemed like a Gene Smith add.

I know it's not a guarantee, but given that they signed Doss as a free agent, I would give him the nod over Brown to make the team.  I would guess that Mike Brown is a tough cut, unless the team decides to keep six wide receivers.

I agree that they will probably keep four.  Although I like him, I really think Davis is the odd many out.  I don't think they re-signed Babin as a free agent in order to cut him.  Branch appears to be a player that is slowly developing.  He had 5 sacks in his last 7 games.  That would be a tough cut.
