Quote:it relevance to wideouts he's just middle of the pack, and he is short and he's a ball dropper... he's not bad but he's not a #1 wideout

He was a projected first round draft pick and has pretty good hands.  I'm not sure where you're seeing a down side but I have to tell you Sammy Watkins wasn't available bro.

One more thing the X-factor is Coaching for all the negative that people are pointing out. We have the Best WR coach in the league. 2nd to none!!!!!!

Another exciting pick. Didn't watch much of Lee this year but I remember being blown away by him when watching Barkley last year. He had a monster game in '12 against Arizona I remember.

Quote:Fixed it for ya. Bother. ( A short, slow guy .. oh bother it just keeps getting worse)

if you are going to correct someone at least do it right.
Feeling really good with Bortles, Lee and Gerhart all on board now. Massive overall improvement .
I had a feeling Caldwell was going to select this guy.....if you remember, he tried to sign Emmanuel Sanders in FA who is a similarly sized player and similarly skill set (but less talented) version of Lee.

Not sure why this team loves small WR so much. We need a bigger WR in this corps.

ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS
Very good athletic ability. Is a nifty runner after the catch -- can navigate through traffic and create with the ball in his hands. Can shift into top gear and run by tacklers -- terrific acceleration and short-area burst. Fine route runner -- understands how to set up defensive backs and has an innate feel for coverage. Understands how to manipulate man and zone coverage and can create separation when he needs to uncover. Very good hand-eye coordination. Tracks the deep ball very well -- has a knack for running underneath it. Attacks the ball and plucks it out of the sky. Very good competitive, functional playing speed. Has game-breaking return ability -- exceptional vision and traffic burst.
WEAKNESSES
Average size and run strength. Does not break many tackles. Was slowed by nagging injuries, and body is not built to withstand a lot of punishment. Can do a better job securing the ball through traffic -- has shown a tendency to flag the ball. Long-term durability could become an issue.

BOTTOM LINE
An extremely motivated, dynamic, playmaking receiver, Lee's junior season was plagued by shoulder, knee and leg injuries and a revolving door at head coach, where he cycled through three. Showed all the traits desired in a No. 1 receiver early in his career and has overcome a lot of adversity in his life to get to this point.

So Jordan Matthews is taller and faster than Lee, yet we took Lee first?   Sighhhhhhhhhhh another caldwell fail.

couldnt be happier lee will be awesome

his drop % really scares me...I was hoping for Jordan Matthews personally.

I was hoping for it, but really didn't think he'd be available at #39.
I wonder if he'll be better than Jordan Matthews.

Matt Jones was taller and faster too.

The national media had him in the first round. Good scouts probably not so much. Again I don't hate it, but he's just average

Me too (or Devante Adams)

To me Matthews is simply a better pick than Lee
Good pick. No brainer to grab the best available receive there. We should be able to go strictly BAP from here.

Only a minor issue with this pick.

I think I'd prefer a bigger WR to complement Shorts, but we got a heckuva player.

@TMD....I am hoping that he returns to his Jr. years production where he was not known for dropping the ball...

Matthews has also played WRs his whole life and doesnt have a drug problem, unlike Matt Jones.  Nice try though.
