He's an awful announcer and a lousy steelers fan.  It doesn't get much worse than that.  Fortunately, I think Khan will be smart enough to know this is a short term move.  Frangie might be the radio voice for the preseason, then dumped for an actual announcer.

All you have to do is listen to one of his advertisement spots (and envision this as the voice of the Jaguars) and you would understand.  The new Underwoods spot is rich.

Um...most if not all of the team announcers (anymore) are like that when the opponent scores.

I don't think it impacts Oehser.  Sounds like Sexton will become the boss for the digital side of the website and the editor in chief of Jaguars.com.

I envision someone with some cred coming in to fill the position in relatively short order. 

 

Khan is image conscious. He'll get a permanent voice that represents the team well.

I honestly like listening to 1010xl besides Hicken and Prosser. Mike Dempsey is my favorite. I don't get hate for Frange and Balou or Ryan Green. I live in kansas and listen a lot.

yeah him and Mick Hubert do the same thing. It's so annoying.

I always laughed when Sexton would try to make his waify voice sound gruff/ tuff but obviously contrived. 

I echo the above sentiments..  Frangie is unlistenable!!  Well no more turning down the sound and listening to the radio during away games.

 

He drives me crazy constantly repeating himself at least 3 or 4 times and sounds like he a has a handful of marbles in his mouth.

 

I was never crazy about Sexton but I would take him back in a heartbeat now.

I listen to the game broadcasts, even at the stadium.  I'll be leaving the headset at home if Frangie is the nasally lisper buzzing in my ear.

Sexton was ok.  I don't know who this other guy is.
