I can only hope against hope that his PBP is 180 out from his radio personna, but I doubt it.

Listening him palaver about the Players yesterday was embarassing as he ingratiated himself to the PGA.

Then he changed opinions to agree with Balou, Martineau and Blaylock on the NBA playoffs and re-repeated the same points....bleh!

I will listen, but I don't see or hear it.

He is a Gator Homer and college football first, never forgave the Jags for not drafting HWSNBN, and h
as had anger management

issues with the Jaguars for years. IMO.
I could live with Huber or Deckerhoff, but they have gigs.

I am sure the airwaves are filled with self flagillation right now.

That's funny because that's so him. It's also sad because that's so him and he's now our PBP guy. Wallbash

I have never been a huge fan of Sexton but I sure hope this is just a rumor!
I'm assuming that means he'll be hosting the weekly show as well.  Ugh.

Probably should have read a little deeper into the thread.  It's not a rumor.
The Steelers game should be interesting to listen to... :whistling:

His Gator/steeler homer status is bad enough, but you're right.  He was one of the big mouths behind going after that guy.

The Thteelerth game?

Hoping there is a plan....
Not a fan of Frangie's as has been stated ad nauseum.  I listen to the broadcast team as much as I can at home or at the stadium.  Not so enthused about doing so anymore, though I probably will.

If what was said earlier is true regarding Sexton having a year left on his contract, why not roll out the new voice next year after an extensive search?  Unless Frangie is more permanent than people are thinking right now.

Hey, who knew we'd have swimming pools, right?  It's got to be part of a "plan"........................right?

Sexton did have another year left on the contract he had to be the play by play for the Jags.  Lageman is in the final year of his contract as well.

It sounds like this was Sexton's decision, so hopefully because of that, Frangie was just the guy they had available for now.  If they don't shop around for a better option, game day broadcasts will be tuned out by this season ticket holder.

Maybe he'll get so excited about calling the Thteelerth game that he'll jump out of the booth.

Either that, or Boselli will beat him to death after hearing for the 87th time about "how great it is to wave a Thteeler terrible towel from a booth inside Everbank."

Unless they change radio stations, there will be no better signal for 1010XL, it is what it is. That is why they chose to simulcast games on 99.9 Gator Country because is is a true

regional FM frequency rather than a local Jacksonville Beach, FL frequency like 1010XL AM/FM.

I know Frank is a Heck of a nice guy and a pretty good local broadcaster, but we are dealing with the "Peter Principal" here and he is way out of his league.

I will give them the pre-season games to determine if they are anywhere near ready for Primetime.

I'm listening to my man Frank Frangie right now. lol
"With 3rd overall pick Jaguars select Vic Ketchman - Sportswriter for Green Bay Packers"

Ohhh God please let it be true!!!

I used to prefer to listen to the radio broadcasts during the away games. Looks like I'll revert back to listening to the D-crew on CBS.

If I take 95 from Mandarin in the AM... zero issues.

If I instead take the 295 loop over the Buckman... it starts to cut out around Wilson.
