Quote:Oh the idiotic, immature, lame insults, it's like clockwork in any thread involving TMD.
Totally deserved, imo. I've seen him post about how he doesn't attack others, then turn around and attack someone. There was an instance of this not too long ago where he posted in one thread that he always focused on football, not the person, then 45 minutes later in a different thread took a blatant, non-football personal shot at somebody. When I pointed this out, he acted confused as to what my point was, then brushed it off. I feel no guilt about getting under the skin of a troll.
The guy does make a salient point every now and then, and I don't disagree with everything he says. I also don't feel any need to be exceptionally polite in dealing with him, so things just kind of go from here. It doesn't help his case as a football genius when he puts out a mock that would make Gene Smith proud and, well, no one else.
Quote:Or a better receiver likely to be available at that spot.
At that spot Janis was pretty much as good as what is expected to be left.

Oh, so because I rarely/ but on sparse occasion lose it and attack someone else directly, that justifies the mob mentality and 5000 to 1 ratio of attacks that are aimed at me.
Gotcha.
The people that bash will simply defend their wishes to mass-bash me.
As said, mob mentality.

Ah yes. The victim card has officially been played.
Poor princess.

totally ignoring all of my recent posts. all logical, all that could pose good argument. also ignoring the post i made totally denying pack mentality. only respond to the posts that make you look like a victim or that dont make you look moronic. good work.
I'll never get the 'burger flipping' insults. There are people out there who have to make a living, and have no other opportunities than burger flipping. Even though they have a college degree. I see nothing wrong with someone who 'flips burgers'. Someone has to do it. Or you wouldn't get the burgers you want so much. So I don't see why people use it as an insult. Same with bagging groceries. Same with retail jobs, waiting tables, being a janitor, etc... Your occupation is not a measure of your intelligence by any means. Dumb people often go further in life than smart people because of who they know.
I don't think this mock draft is Gene Smith-esque. I think too many people make comparisons between players they don't like, and players they know failed, just as much as they do make comparisons between players they like, and players they know succeeded. Same goes with GM's. Yes, Gene thought he was the smartest guy in the room, and unfortunately he was off by 31. TMD sometimes comes across that way as well. But Bridgewater isn't a Gene-esque reach. (It might be that way, come draft day. But currently people are still projecting Bridgewater to go high. Just as they did Geno Smith, which they were wrong about. But at this point projecting him high still makes sense, and nobody has any idea where he'll really go). Troy Niklas might be -- but I think that Gene would be sold on Lewis.
It's not a great mock draft. (I'd do one, but it'd be pretty bad too The more I read about a player, the more I'm convinced I don't want them). There's a lot I disagree with. But I don't think it's a Gene Smith-like mock draft just because I don't think it's a good one either.
I think Troy Niklas will be there come Round 3. And we'll know soon enough if he will be. I think Jordan Matthews makes more sense with the 2nd round pick if you're going for a receiver. Though he does have concerns such as being a diva.
Really rounds 5-7 are a crapshoot. Who will be taken when is anyone's guess. People thought Matt Scott would go in Round 4. In fact people thought he'd be our choice in round 4. He wound up being a UDFA, and still wound up a Jag. Nobody really knows where anybody is going until they've gone. That's what makes draft day interesting though. The first pick is almost always the most boring because we usually know who it's going to be.

Nothing was ignored. I just responded to the most recent one as well.
You denied the "pack mentality" because you like when people mass bash and you want to enable it, so you make excuses for people that are doing it.
Whatever.

Yep, and the Matt Scott point is pretty good. I remember many on the board thinking he'd be a 4th rounder. Never happened.
Quote:TMD, Janis got shut down by Divison II defenses.
You really think he is worth a draft pick? lol...
Yeah because NFL executives never take a chance on height, weight, speed combinations in WRs. Lol

What's your point? If the kid can't even be All-Conferene in the GLIAC Division II football conference, what makes you think he will succeed in the NFL?
Quote:Yes, you're right....
We should take Mike Evans with our 6th rounder.
We should take a guy like Jordan Matthews or Paul Richardson in the 2nd or 3rd rather and get a competent starting WR, not settle for a guy that was Honorable Mention in his Division II conference and got shut down by Division II defenses.
definitely agree with hailtoyourvictor on this one. The guy is playing people that wont even sniff an NFL field and can't even light it up. If he is NFL caliber, this guy would easily be league MVP. Whatever the award in the Midwest ocean spray cranberry d5 league is

What was this thread about?

I thought the point was pretty easy to figure out. NFL personnel draft size, weight, speed, especially at WR.
Charles Johnson 2013 drafted by the Packers, honorable mention at Grand Valley State. 6 3 220.
I didn't say he was going to be good in the NFL. I have never heard of the guy.

I like Jordan Matthews....
but we need more picks to be able to address more of these team needs.
Maybe if we can trade down and add another 2nd rounder we can get someone like Matthews, Adams or similar. As my mock goes, I want to ensure we get Niklas with the current 2nd.
Quote:Troy Niklas is a stud.
I agree...or at least think he will be that upon development in the pro's.
I agree, I watched some draft breakdown of Niklas. Dude is really good. He doesn't seem like that great of a blocker, but when he is receiving he just flat out looks the part. Wouldn't mind if we drafted him at all.

He'd be better than Marcedes right away, and cost 1/8th of the price.
