OK...I have to ask...who is the averaged sized, screen catching WR you are referring too TMD...I know you can't be talking about Watkins...so there must be another WR we are thinking of picking at 3.

Quote:Well, yeah, they claim to, and then cite small school, average sized LB'ers and averaged sized, screen pass catching WR's as players to take at 3 instead....

lol

He really believes that is what Watkins is.......scary, huh?

You can just tell he has never seen him play

Yet still averaged 15 ypc. Watkins with Jerry Sullivan would be just...

It was questioned if Jerry was gonna stay with the team.  I think if we draft Watkins that will get him to stay another couple years at least.
I think Sullivan sticks around if there are a prospect or two he feels are with working with. I'm sure he'll wind up with a couple of new toys to work with.
Quote:LOL, so many anti-Teddy's....

At #3? Yeah. Anti Teddy must include just about every analyst that has him dropping in the draft. I guess every team that doesn't draft him is in that category too.

I think he can make Watkins a top 5 WR like he was starting to do with Blackmon.

He dont understand it when there is many that don't want Teddy at 3 or to waste picks and trade back in the first to get him.  But he's about the only one that dont like Mack or Watkins he understands that completely.
Quote:Weaknesses
Work in progress as an in-line blocker -- lacks ideal base strength, grip strength and overall body power. Bends at the waist and falls off some blocks. Route running needs refinement. Is still learning to use his frame advantageously -- inconsistent traffic player. Lacks elite top-end speed. Average elusiveness and creativity after the catch. Could stand to play with more physicality and become a better finisher.

Draft Projection

Rounds 2-3

That's not even a Marcedes Lewis caliber prospect when he entered the draft.

That's the first report I saw. This was the 2nd:

Same basic issues. There are more of the same. The diva picked one to defend his position.

...."In just two seasons at the position he is already among the classes' most reliable blockers and is an effective underneath target.,,"

Nobody is saying he can't develop. Marcedes certainly wasn't a blocking TE coming out of college either. Look at him now.

Quote:Marcedes never came close to being the player in the NFL that he was billed as around the time of that draft.

I think the reverse will prove out for Niklas.

Because you say so. Once again, confusing fact with opinion.

You're filled with so much Teddy hate.

Maybe TMD can lend you his Bridgewater underoos. Don't mind the stains. He's got a little incontinence problem.

Is Sullivan unsure about returning next year?? I thought that was a few years ago (when the coaching change happened) that he was considering retiring....

That'd be pretty [BLEEP] to not return for 2014 at this point in the offseason. Thats the kind of thing you need to let your employer know right after the season ends.

He's not going anywhere for 2014.
Quote:I thought Larry Webster was converting to TE....also I think Desir makes a better FS than CB, but that's just IMO
I was just thinking about Zach Potter today.  Actually, thought about great athletic two way players like Deion, then thought, hmmm.... Could Clowney, with his raw athleticism and speed, play TE.  And thought, hey, Potter did it.

That TMD... always wishing the best for our(?) Jaguars... :whistling:
I like Teddy

After that? Ehh. There are far bigger needs than TE/CB/RB/backup QB.

Anyone who wants us to reach badly for players in the first and second round, then draft a tiny-school third-round corner and start him is probably a closet Titans fan. The Eagles thing is just a ruse.
I don't get it. The reason you don't want to take Watkins is because of the elite talent available in rounds 2 and 3 this year, then you completely ignore that fact and pass on all of them? The best part about this years WRs class is that you can get 1st round talent in the 2nd and 3rd..... we both agree on this....... so I'm shocked you didn't jump all over that value with your mock.

As I mentioned in a post earlier....I tried to address as much as possible within the 11 picks, and it still seemed hard to address everything. I can see now why Caldwell wants to trade down and have 12-14 picks at his disposal. 11 seems like a lot, but its still not enough.
