How can that be? I thought St Louis was taking him....lol

Quote:I just find it hard to believe Shad isn't directly made known of pretty much exactly what Caldwell / Gus are thinking regarding football matters, at all times. I think he does.
Quote:God, why did the draft have to move back two weeks.
I'm sure it's certainly possible, but I just don't see it at all.
Quote:@McClain_on_NFL: Word's spreading among media here that Manziel is going to Jacksonville at 3.he's risky but he certainly has upside and potential as well as a lot of excitement to bring. I believe I'm in the minority with liking this pick but it could be worth it if he pans out.

Quote:CEO's of most companies don't get (or care) about on-the-spot reports of happenings within their business.I don't think thats the case with Shad and the Jaguars though, but I don't think this is all he does either is worry about the Jaguars. I doubt he gets the play by play as the thoughts pop through Caldwell/Gus's minds.
Quote:Word is spreading among the media in Houston? Well, it's a done deal then.
Quote:I highly doubt there lying. Khan trusts Dave and Gus to do the job and is probably also super busy. I doubt he is as in the loop as you think he is. He's not micromanaging here.

Quote:I don't view Khan as a micromanager, either...I'm just saying its quite possible he dosent know yet. Maybe it's better he dosent know.
That doesn't mean that I can't see him knowing pretty much throughout this whole process who was #1 on our draft board.

Hey, that's pretty high right? Right. I think this has a decent chance of being true. While most local and national media have backed off the Jaguars picking a quarterback at No. 3 overall, I've never been ready to completely rule it out, especially with where the Jaguars second-round pick falls. If you like a guy, pick him at 3.

Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell also dropped a nugget that he felt Manziel was the most NFL ready quarterback of the flawed bunch and that they would not have to change their offense much for him to fit.
Quote:Johnny Jaguar's promise may end up being right after all.
Quote:If we pick Manziel, I hope we would then pick a WR in the second round, and an offensive lineman in the third round. I don't want to throw Manziel out there without adequate support.
If we want a difference maker, let's please give him a chance to make a difference.
Quote:@McClain_on_NFL: Word's spreading among media here that Manziel is going to Jacksonville at 3.oh boy I wonder if this is one of those true things and wouldnt be shocked if it happens

Quote:Agreed for the most part.
The depth of the WR class should enable us to land a solid starter in the second round, and OL in the 3rd at that point should be obvious.
I just hope we don't pick Manziel...and if we do, I hope I'm wrong and that the team gives him as much support as possible.
