Quote:Micromanagement is certainly a sin in the management world.
If you aren't properly delegating, you're likely neglecting greater needs. Dereliction of duty. Wasting time and energy on what others should be handling.
But then, I don't expect someone of your lack of achievement to understand concepts of management. You're simply cheerleading for your idols like schoolgirl and have no idea what I'm talking about.
Thats nice, but were talking the football world, and Belichick and Kelly are 2 that are micromanagers to the tee, and yet 2 of the more successful people in their sports. (college + pro).
But thanks for the insult when you had no other intelligent response to counter with.

Here's a link to the full 1st round draft if anyone wants to read it.

Quote:Your not gonna get a Julio deal, that was from the 20s to the top 10, plus last year a team went from 12 to 3 and only got a 2nd round pick, this is a better draft so you would get more, but no way you get a 1st next year
If the 49ers trade up, you might get that.

Except....there had already been rumors of the 49ers entertaining thoughts about trading up....
Try to keep up....slappy.

Yes, because like your opinion, rumors are facts in the glittery world of the bar stool diva.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of what we gave up in the trade to 29.

Quote:Agree, at least two from this year plus first next year. That would be a start, and maybe not enough.
We should look for a Julio Jones type deal. After all, he's a guy we can use, too. You just don't give away what you need, especially if he's the best prospect at the position.
I don't think we get a Julio type deal. They aren't trading nearly as far up as the Falcons did that year. I agree on your last two sentences, though, you don't give Sammy up for a 2nd round pick this year.
Quote:Dave said only if he were to trade outside of the top ten will he expect to get a 1 next year, I say a 2nd round pick and a 4th or 5th would be good enough
Would love that
To me, outside of the top 10 = trading to 10. Same difference and I want a 1st from next year to make the move. 1st next year and a mid to late round pick next year, at least. I'm not making the trade for the sake of trading back. If they want Sammy they will have to pay for him.

How is trading outside of the top 10=trading to 10? That is very much in the top 10...

To get to #3 you should get more than just that. Oakland didn't get enough.
According to the draft value chart, they came up 520 points short. Or, the equivalent of a second rounder. I wouldn't accept anything less than the equivalent of the value chart, and in fact I'd ask for more since it's a player I'd just as soon select as trade out of. There has to be some consideration for the trade to make it in your favor. Otherwise, sit still and make the pick.

I'm saying that "outside the top 10" still applies to pick 10 to me in terms of requiring a first next year. Trading down past pick 9 would be where I would want a first from next year to make the deal. I'm not saying Dave requires that, just that would be what I would need to make it worth it in my eyes. I'm having a difficult time putting what I'm trying to say into words.

If we LOVE a guy at 3, I agree. I just don't see us getting full value though, and I think we really would like to trade back, and adding another 2nd in a deep draft would be pretty great. Like I said, didn't Miami trade up to #3 last year from 12 and only add in #42? This draft is just so deep that although the talent level is much higher at 3 than 10, it isn't a big enough jump to give a 2nd and a 1st next year with it. At least imo. That's a big haul for 7 spots.

Gave up 2R pick (39th overall), one of two 4R picks (114th), one of three 5R picks (150th), 7R pick (222nd) to get Teddy.

If he gave up so much to get his Teddy fix, why didn't he take him at three? then throw down those picks like they're supposed to be.
Mack sucks. We should NOT draft him.

Like I said, i'd like a 1st next year in a deal, but I don't see it.
