Quote:You dont draft a non pass rushing LB #3 overall. Khalil Mack should be used primarliy as a pass rusher ala Von Miller. Those players are worth a high pick if they can get to the QB. Which Mack can.Patrick Willis and Luke Kuechley are a couple I would take at 3 but not very many.

If you do that, you better be right. Again, his value is higher as it reflects his DE/pass rush ability.
A player of his talent could play several roles/positions and be used creatively.

Quote:We dont need a starting caliber WR, we have a few of those. We need that number 1 WRTheres a good chance someone like Cody Latimer is there in the 2nd round, who I see as an #1 WR in the NFL. Davante Adams could fill that role too. Don't think, there is a 2nd round pass rusher that could make an impact as fast as Mack could.

I hope he plays multple spots on the field in a mix of blitz packages, drop into coverage, everything. Im sure Gus can get creative with him.

I think the consensus of the board is starting to show at least (assuming no QB before 39).
Watkins and pray Lawrence or Attachou are there at 39.
Mack and take Adams/Robinson/Latimer.
Either scenario would be great.
Garoppolo, Savage, Mettenberger, etc at 39 would be repulsive in comparison. A C like Martin/Richburg would be just fine at 39 too of course.

Im hoping we can trade back to mid 2nd and get another 4th.
Amaro, Van Noy, and Ward are my top guys for the 2nd.

right now, barring trades. I'm hoping rd 1 is Mack. Rd 2 is Jordan Matthews, rd 3 is a center. Rd 4 is savage and Aaron Murray. And then ill leave the rest to whatever happens. At that point we don't know too much about the players that are left.
edit: If for some reason Roby falls to rd 4 because of his dui scenario, id advocate taking him there.

I like Amaro also, he might do in lieu of a bigger WR.

Both are great players but I think that is debatable. That position is not what it used to be. Not quite as bad as running back you can find plug and play guys in the second round, third round.

I thought that at first too - (regardling the little girl)....but if you listen carefully, as it kinda gets hidden under some of the boys whining/ screaming, she says at one point early that her favorite player is Cam Newton, so it kinda takes some of the credit away as I thought, like you did, initially that she was just being a good fan and cheering the next best player that remained.....nah, it sounds as though Cam was always her favorite.

yeah, the little boy should be punished because he is upset (which was deliberately made to happen by his father.) another TMD classic. further evidence that you arent qualified to do anything besides slave away behind the hot glowing fryolator.

Real fans still have favorite players on their team. If Cam went somewhere else im sure she would find a new favorite player on her team

yes, way to talk about what we were discussing.

But just for the sake of discussion, the little boy should have been punished for hitting the camera, twice. You're essentially enabling bad behavior and avoiding the lesson of personal responsibility by putting 100% of the blame for the boy's actions on the adult. Do I think the father was needlessly egging the kid on? Sure...and he gets blame for that, but what kind of message are you sending by inferring that its okay to act out, throw tantrums and potential cause destruction/ damage as long as someone else ticks you off?? Which is what essentially happened here.

We don't really know that. What we do know is she did say her favorite player was Cam Newton. Easy pill for her to swallow with Steve Smith leaving when she was a Cam fan anyway. If Steve Smith was her favorite and she still was able to show that kind of resolve then she would have gotten more credit. Don't you see the difference?
ANyway, I'll discuss it further on the other thread provided in the link if you want.
The only reason I brought the video here was because I was reminded of that Luke Keuchley line from that video when he was mentioned in this thread in post 42.
