No NFL team is elite at every position. You just need a few players that can ball and carry the team. Ramsey, Malik, Telvin, Jack, Poz, Ngakoue, Lee, Beachum, Hurns, ARob, and Linder are (if not, will be) very good players. It's be nice if our two wide outs could return to form next year, I'm putting them in this list because they were 1k receivers a year ago.

We then have average players that do their job well, such as Prince, Walters, Ivory, Odrick, Abry, Miller, Marks, and maybe I'm forgetting someone, but you get the point. There's more talent on this team than a lot of teams in the NFL. Difference is other teams have a good QB and coaching staff. We'll get the wins soon.

I think that this defense will only get better with time. Fowler and ngakoue are both essentially rookies. Pass rushers take time. If this secondary had a pass rush we would be a really goid defense.


The greater question is what happened to this passing game. I mean when was the last time we just hit a hot route against a blitz? A quick read to break through a zone? A rob last year made circus catches. This year he's almost back in the womb.

I think pressure got the best of the Allen bros this year. Last year they played loose and free, this year with expectations high they played nervous.

They are definitely more talented then a 2-14 team in one of the worst divisions in football, if not the worst. They should have been talented enough to improve on last year's 5-11 record by at least a few games and been in the AFCS title hunt, but they didn't even come close to that.

 

How talented? I'd say more talented then their 2-12 record, but not as talented as a lot of people seem to think they were.

 

There is more talent now then there was 4 years ago, but they will need to become much more disciplined and coached harder if they ever want to see their true potential.

 

Unfortunately the QB became a big question mark this season and that will really set them back if he doesn't find a way to improve over the off season. A new HC will only be able to do so much with the Bortles that we all saw this season.

It's difficult to tell what talent we have because the coaching has been so poor that everyone looks like hot garbage now. 

 

I think we have a few nice pieces like Ramsey, Smith, Jack, Ngokwe (sp?) but our pass rush is Garbage, QB is Garbage, TEs are Garbage, Oline is a little better---call it recycling maybe?

It's all the QB. This amount of talent with one of the worst QBs in the league is a 2 win team. This amount of talent with a franchise QB would be challenging for the division lead. 

 

That's pretty true of almost all of the NFL.

It's easy, forget about last year because that was last year. Open your eyes and watch him this year. And if you continue to insist, go back last year and watch how many insane jump passes that were terribly thrown last year that arob somehow came down with that very easily could have, and probably should have, gone the other way. Or, go back and watch how many tough catches hurns had that were incredibly lucky to have been caught, or incredibly lucky to not result in hurnsy being injured because Blake led him to a spot on the field where hurnsy would get blown up. Blake's stats last year were so much more indicative of the talent that the Allen's have than Blake does. I truly believe that they were sick of having to break their neck for the most routine passes when it became increasingly evident that Blake showed zero signs of improvement, or even the desire to do so, thus leading to them being frustrated this year. And sure, they've had quite a few drops this year, but wouldn't you be frustrated if you were playing catch with your kitties and even though they were sposed to know how to throw a ball, they continued to throw terrible pass after terrible pass and showed no desire to even try and throw better?
