Painkiller addiction is no joke. While I have never seen the attraction of pharmaceutical drugs, I have known a few people who have been hooked. One went on methadone for over a year before finally getting off for good and another was a friend of 20 years who came for a visit and raided my medecine chest after everyone else went to sleep. 21st century drugs are horrible. Especially the synthetic ones. Don't get me started on krokodil or jenkem.
Quote:You just don't understand how much pressure it is to be the super wealthy owner of a pro football team who has never done a real day's work in your life and who has never been made to adhere to the social norms of regular people. I wonder how many DWIs or super speeding incidents he was just let off of before this one finally landed him in the care of an officer that was feeling P-O'd at the colts.

Envious much?
I saw a funny retweet earlier from someone from "Pierre the Pelican". New Orleans Pelicans mascot.

"Jim Irsay arrested for DWI...You mean the guy who traded for a 1st rd draft pick for Trent Richardson has a drinking problem?"

Suddenly it all makes sense. Give a man control of an NFL team that always seems to have their franchise QB and let him run wild. Gosh that would be so much fun to do if you could be drunk the whole time.

Wonder if the hammer comes down on him as hard as it did Blackmon.
How does he not have a driver on call at all times?

Not surprised at all, but sheesh, Irsay. Hire a wheel man.

Quote:A visual reminder that money doesn't equal taste!!!
Or apparently a lick of common sense.
Quote:I would have arrested him just for wearing this shirt. Good Lord.

He wore that outfit in?

I was about to write a scathing critique of the Indianapolis penal system for issuing that get-up.
Hey - I was counting on you and (most of) you came through!

The self-righteousness is running high today.

Dude got caught. I wonder how many posters in this thread have done the same thing and not been caught. I know I have at least once in my lifetime. I just never got caught.

I really can't say much.

Dang.  Personally, I think the dude is hilarious.

I was right there with ya til you went to smack.
Two Words. Jacob Rothschild.
Quote:Take some picks Goodell!
Id like to see the Colts be penalized for this.

Either fine them a draft pick or make them drop Andrew Luck into free agency. That is the only way to teach those scumbags a lesson.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay arrested for DWI

CARMEL, Ind. –  Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was released from jail Monday after being held overnight following a traffic stop in which police said he failed sobriety tests and had multiple prescription drugs inside his vehicle.

Irsay was pulled over late Sunday after he was spotted driving slowly near his home in suburban Carmel, stopping in the roadway and failing to use a turn signal. Police say the 54-year-old Irsay failed several roadside field sobriety tests before he was arrested, though details were not released.

How does Goodell punish one of his bosses?  This will get very interesting.

Isnt Grigson punishment enough?
Quote:Tweets he hasn't had a drink in 15 years. Gets arrested for DUI. The saddest lies are the ones we tell ourselves. Can't blame the guy for developing a substance abuse problem. He has had a rough life. Wait.. no he hasn't.

While Jim Irsay inherited a large amount of money and has been able to have financial freedom most people will never have,  IMO he had a difficult upbring.  The reason,  his father Robert Irsay.   To the extent that Jim Irsay's grandmother,   Robert's mother,  called Robert Irsay the '  devil on earth' .    I truly hope that Jim Irsay gets the help he needs and after that takes a much lower public profile.

For cryin' out loud, somebody throw a pie!
