Still no one can explain to me why Aldon Smith (who actually got in an accident) didn't get punished, but Irsay will? You use the argument that an owner should be held more accountable, but for a draft pick? Absurd IMO.
Well, you are probably correct that the NFL won't take a pick, but we disagree that a late round pick would be too severe.
As for Smith, his court case has not yet been resolved. Much like in the Irsay matter, I wouldn't expect any league punishment until after the courts have ruled.
Knowing Goodell, I hope Irsay is prepared to live the rest of his life without his pinky finger.

I still say they suspend him from the games and the amount of games he is suspended the revenue sharing for those games goes away from the team as well. Ticket and TV

The further we get away from this thing, the less likely it is the league will hand down any sort of penalty. If anything, he'll be slapped with a fine requiring him to donate a chunk of cash to some charity like the Roger Goodell School of Charm.

He'll probably plead to disorderly conduct and pay a huge fine.
They may wait for a lesser charge to appear so that they can get away with a slap on the wrist without negative attention.
It's now being reported that a woman OD'd at a property owned by Mr Irsay.

Require him to give up, or transfer all control of the team to his daughter, or whoever was lined up behind him.
A fine is nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
Take away draft picks is a maybe.
He needs to be in drug counseling for a indefinite period.

Yeah, that story came out in early March, right before his arrest. He bought a townhome for the sister of his masseuse, then transferred it to her name for free. I'm sure he was just trying to help a fellow addict get back on her feet.
In reading articles on this, it sounds like Irsay is just an absolute train wreck. This is one of those stories that simply won't end well. He relinquished control to his oldest daughter, and all of his daughters retain an ownership stake in the team. At the rate he's going, that could wind up being a permanent thing. For his sake, I hope not. He's quirky, but as far as NFL owners are concerned, he's entertaining.
