Sanders would be a nice receiver to have on this team. However, if he is asking Tate money ($6m per year), I would rather see a rookie or a different vet.

Have not heard anything new on Thurdmond, Young, Sanders or Hood since yesterday afternoon.
I watched almost every one of the Steelers games and I will tell you that Sanders would be nice to have as a complimentary WR but he's not even close to being worth $6m. He doesn't have the moves that Antonio Brown has and he's pretty much a dime a dozen --- I'd give him $3m per year. I'd place him on the same level as Nate Washington .. maybe not even that.

Great point. Success in college does not mean success in the pros.
Hopefully we avoid him. We don't need another sub 6'0", thin WR on the team.
I say wait till draft for Wr like Watkins,Mathews,Bryant,Etc.

Bryant as in Martavis Bryant? The guy who drops just as many, if not more passes than Benjamin?

You've done your homework, I agree with you. Emanuel Sanders at best is a third receiver. He doesn't have the long speed to consistently stretch defenses vertically, he doesn't have the quick twitch ability that his former teammate (Antonio Brown) has that makes him dangerous in short areas, and he's not a big receiver with vertical explosion that can high point the ball. Sanders is a good route runner that can excel if he's matched up against a nickel corner, or if he's playing on a team with elite offensive talent or an elite QB like Ben Roethlisbeger.
Per 1010xl Sanders will be signed pending a physical.
A caller also just stated he was spotted with our staff at JOI.

The closer strikes again!

I don't think he's a #1 but I would not say third at best.
WR1: Blackmon
WR2: Sanders
WR3: Shorts III
Athlete: Ace. Sanders
Blackmon will most likely be in the slot
This is a YAC wr crew.

Can someone verify this? I sure hope this is true.
I hope he's right to! Anyone else hear that

Sounds like they're doing a thorough job of homework if they're at JOI.
People still counting on Blackmon? I'm not. This leaves Shorts who has had some injury history as our no. 1 with nobody opposite him

Joe C and Hacker asked if the caller was sure Sanders was the guy they saw at JOI... he said he was positive. Even googled him on his smartphone to double check it.

That's exactly my thoughts. Blackmon is one of if not my favorite player, but you can't expect him back at this point. Even they called him a luxury. We can easily sign Sanders as well as draft 1-2 receives.

Draft is very deep at WR. Could start with Watkins, and they could easily add
another quality WR.

Ughh.
Whatever I hope they got a good deal.
