Quote:I really wanted a Hill when he came out. I would love it if we traded a mid round pick and let Hill learn from Sully.
I have always wanted a hill too. Hard to get in florida.
Quote:Just watch his 40. Im not making this up. He pulled something. Poor old guy
He pulled something and still ran a 4.61? Yeah draft that man. Please?
i have to agree with tmd on this one
i don't think sanders is what we need
without blackmon we are missing a safe hands move the chains guy
the big guy you target on 3rd down with a quick slant who gets his body in the way and secures the ball at the marker to move the chains
but you hope blackmon would be back in some capacity this year so you need someone on a short term deal in case he gets it together
i mean right now we have shorts, brown, sanders, kerry taylor all small nippy guys and lewis our big redzone target
for me I think hakeem nicks will want too much cash and personally would rather we targetted sidney rice though i think he would want too much money as well
so I reckon we hold off and go for someone coming off a down year a bit later in free agency or even after the draft. Personally I wonder about miles austinwho has had a two bad years and struggles with hamstring injuries and a lack of confidence
he would probably take a 1 year incentive based prove yourself contract when he has started running out of options.
a new start and an opportoonity could be what he needs to get going again, if not well lets say blackmon is back week 6, you cut him for blackmon
just to note I would also draft a wide out as well giving you a stable of 6 wideouts. Personally I would prefer we drafted one in round 4 or lower but with the sheer number of talented wideouts in the draft i think you may get a stud drop to the 3rd.If moncreif went to denvers spot in the second i would trade up to snap him up in a heartbeat
Quote:Sanders to the chiefs makes perfect sense after they lost mcluster
Who signed McCluster? Or is he still just floating around the Free Agency pool?

Titans signed him I believe.
I can't believe Sanders got 17 pages of discussion. Are we really that bad ???????????????

Half of it looks to be about Kelvin Benjamin

We got 12 pages on "Gus Bradley: The Closer" with people parsing their interpretation of what the thread title really means, so it's not surprising we got 17 pages on Sanders.
Quote:Per 1010xl Sanders will be signed pending a physical.
A caller also just stated he was spotted with our staff at JOI.
I guess 1010 was wrong?

Shocking
Sanders is just a guy.. He drops a ton a passes.. Pass on him PLEASE.

Can we stop perpetuating this myth? 3 drops in 2012 and 5 in 2013. Shorts had 9 and 10.

^this. Sanders is a good WR and would be a nice addition. However, not for the money he is currently looking for. I hope he visits KC today, and does not get the targeted money there either. A long shot, but then comes back to the Jags offer and opportunity.

Is this true or is this a fake...
Alfie is floating that Sanders is still a possibility but the fact that he's gone for other visits may indicate the money he's asking for may not be what we're willing to pay.

That seems obvious

How much is he looking for?
Emmanuel Sanders is of the Mario Manningham/Nate Burleson/Nate Washington mode, he's and underwhelming #2 that is most effective as a #3. I don't blame him for shopping around for the best possible offer as I'd do the same, someone will overpay for his services I just hope it's not the Jaguars.
Looks like he won't be signing here.
