He's still a better pass rusher than Alualu.

Anybody else? Thats not accurate. Michael Johnson will command ridiculous money and the production doesn't match it. 

 

After Hardy, there really wasn't any elite tier pass rushers left on the market. Orakpo was close and I wouldn't have minded signing him, but after that, no. They might as well just try to find a DE in the second wave of FA, re: cheaper, at this point. Try to strike lightning in a bottle as they did with the Marks signing. 

I watch a lot of football to mostly redzone in NFL. I love Cfb to and never been impressed with Michael Johnson at GT or Cinci. Carlos Dunlap and Geno Atkins cleary strength of there defense.

Again, pending on the cost. I certainly wouldn't be going long term 10 MIL per year on these guys. (Bennett/ Johnson)

 

We have money to spend, yes....but you still need to do it wisely. 

 

 

 

Signing Bryant to a 4 year deal with front loaded money and not topping out over 4 MIL per on average, is likely a smart deal. 

 

 

 

But Bennett & Johnson will likely be overpaid greatly on the market due to position scarcity combined with age.

Your philosophy of only getting one of the top two or three overall players does not work. The team needs bodies and it needs to upgrade at almost every position. They aren't getting Greg Hardy, they aren't getting Brian Orakpo. So you'd rather they sit on their hands and do nothing. And yet, you're the first one complaining the team stinks.

I'm not worried about money we have the 3rd most cap room in the NFL and we dont have any young players on the roster that will need big deals coming up.
