If they draft Mack at 3, it is to be a LEO.

Florio just reported TMD is actually a Browns fan. Makes sense.

Same thing every year.
Some of you guys just lap up every little rumor as if it is fact .
We'll go through the same thing next year.

Quote:It is highly, highly unlikely that the team would going to go into the draft with Gabbert and Matt Scott as the only QB's on the roster. If not Henne, it would have been another veteran. Today's re-signing changes nothing. This and any Sports writer with common sense should know this

Quote:I never wanted to draft 2 QBs. I think that'd be a waste of time.
I don't see it that way. I see it as an opportunity to not only groom a capable QB as injury insurance, but also cultivate a chance to make a trade down the road similar to the likes of Brunell/ Hasselbeck/ Rob Johnson or Schaub.
Amazing that fans of this team, with the first hand example of Rob Johnson and how beneficial that draft selection/ develop and latter trade was for us - would be against the idea of drafting a 2nd QB with the idea of the above.
We'd never have gotten to enjoy Fred Taylor all those seasons if it wasn't for selecting Rob Johnson in the 4th round, when we already had Brunell and Beuerlein.

Jags Team Needs:
QB
Guards
RB
Center
OLB
DE
Safety Depth
OT Depth
WR..
Now we know a couple of those positions could be filled in FA, but that's a lot of holes to fill.. Drafting two QB's with today's resigning of Henne just doesn't make any sense..

Folks were saying that when the FO said they would take the tackle, whichever was still on the board at #2.
I take Caldwell more as a straight shooter, than Barbara Streisand artist.

There are times to be deceptive and there are times to tell the truth.

He's built his credibility to the point where he can tell a big whopper and have everyone believe it.
There's an art to lying.

No, the whole point of the LEO is to get to the QB which is what Mack excels at. Mack put his hand in the dirty plenty at Buffalo. He would fit the spot to a "T".

LEO or not. Even LEO is a position you should be able to hit on later in the draft. I'm just thinking value here.

If they take Bridge at 3, there's no way in hell the Jags draft a 2nd QB..

If we draft Mack at 3, he'll be our starting SAM LB in place of Russell Allen. He'll play LEO on obvious pass rushing downs. Mack is very good at everything he does, don't waste his talent on just one thing.
