What a terrible final day for me for the week yesterday! Up 7-2, 6-3 all week and lose 5-4, and was just about 6-3. Pitching meltdown with two tossing a 9.00 ERA and couldn't hit for anything!

Quote:Not for nuthin, but......Yup, water under the bridge though. Wouldn't have even mattered had my team not laid an egg yesterday.
You saw who had a good week in helping beat you this week?.... Encarnacion.... :whistling:
Just sayin'....

Quote:lol..... that's why you don't give up on 1st round picks because of a slow start.
Quote:I agree, but I think the offseason wrist surgery also factored in to the decision. I don't think it was merely a slow start alone, as to why he dropped him.
Wrist injuries have proven to sap a power hitter's effectiveness in the past.
Quote:Right, but if that was a big worry of his then he should have gone a different route the with your 1st round pick. I mean, who was EE dropped for? Who on Trav's roster offered more potential than EE? And it's not likely EE was completely ineffective.... even with his terrible start he was still on pace for ~80 Runs and ~90 RBIs. He was worth waiting on.
If he was too frustrating to wait for, then trade the guy. EE never fell below 19 on Cockcroft's #19 player overall so the guy always had value (http://espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball/stor...yce-harper). Simply dropping him is what stupid owners do.
Quote:So whois winning this?Very competitive league. Playoffs started this week. I was the #5 seed.
I'm going to assume not the guy that dropped Encarnacion (30 HRs), Alexei Ramirez (#2 SS on ESPN's player rater), and Charlie Blackmon (#14 overall batter on ESPN's player rater).
If so, you guys need a more competitive league.
