Gene Smith was paranoid people would see his draft dart board.  Caldwell is a breath of fresh air.

Man you have to love Gus! Pretty good forum all together. It is really great what the Jags organization has been doing to reach out to the fans. We are lucky to be fans of such a good franchise (even though we are not winning all the time).

How did tonight's turn out? Anything noteworthy?
No free cocktails, complete failure........................Just kidding, great presentation. Gus just seeps positivity and it is contagious. Good things are coming our way. All involved at all levels are totally bought in and visionary.

For those that haven't noticed the video on the homepage.

A few quick takeaways:

-  Gus  really likes McCray (I think it will be fun to watch him compete for a starting spot)

-  Hints were there that pass rusher and O-linemen will be sought in FA

-  D-Rob will be a RB  (despite folks still speculating that he should be a receiver)
D-Rob isn't gonna be anything if he doesn't learn to hold on to the ball. I like his potential, but he really needs to put things together this offseason.

True.  I meant that they indicated they would focus on that position for him - rather than WR/KR/RB/OW etc

Quote:4.Denard Robinson will have a role. Caldwell on Thursday addressed running back Denard Robinson, who struggled with ball-security issues as a rookie last season – but who Caldwell said still very much fits into the Jaguars’ future. "We're really optimistic about D-Rob,” he said of the 2013 fifth-round draft selection. Caldwell said while Robinson is currently about 205 pounds he would like him around 215-to-220 “so he can finish runs.”

This is what's best for DRob. Focus on RB, adding mass will definitely help as he was surprisingly pretty good at running down hill and will finish plays even better with the added size and strength.

However, none of this matters if he can't hold on to the ball so that's obviously the most important thing for him this off season.
