TMD i dont mean to be rude but you have no idea what youre talking about. im an exercise physiologist and physical therapist and it is very possible to become "buff" even when you have a small "frame"....

Using the pythagorean on Teddy's shadow at 12 pm he is roughly 6'2 9/16.

LOL... now that the air has come out of the tires on the Teddy short bus, only now does TMD jump off it.

 

Whatever some had seen in Teddy never added up to me.  In my opinion, the hype was never backed up by his play.  I see a very good college QB, but not a special QB, certainly not some "can't miss" NFL prospect as a select few have suggested.

 

Sure, teams do stupid things and reach for QBs high in the draft.  As with many first overall QBs over the years, his talent alone has never put him at the #1 spot in the draft.  It was only the premature opinion of some that he was the best QB in the draft, which I simply don't see and never have.  I don't see any QB that's much different than any other in the upcoming draft.  Just like last season (and what's becoming a recent trend it seems,) the best QB may not be the first or even second QB off the board.  Trust the evaluators (not the MB GMs and those who regurgitate unfounded opinions and pass them off as their own) and don't fall in love with a particular QB.  That's what leads to this kind of off track pseudo-analysis and unfounded hype.

 

If Caldwell has him in his sights, then so be it.  The man knows more than I, and I'd be anxious to see what I was missing.  But I'm not worrying about that.  I simply don't see it happening, and I certainly don't worry about whether he lands with a team in our division.

Hopefully the Texans have you're same ideology. Not saying you are wrong. But, I would be ecstatic if Caldwell drafted Teddy. If Caldwell thinks he worth the 2-3 selection, then Teddy will probably be something special.

They did the same with Carr and got it wrong, only to get it right later with Mario Williams.

 

We'll see where they go.  Will they reach for a QB not worth the first overall and fail again, or follow Planet Theory and pick the best overall prospect?  Sometimes we learn from experience, but then again sometimes history repeats itself.

We can only hope that history repeats itself and that they take Carr (bust) 2,0.

If they get Bill O Brien, then Jags fans might as well just go to sleep for the next decade. The Texans won't mess up their QB pick in that instance, and will take Bridgewater, and we can just go to sleep for the next decade until the Luck/ Bridgewater careers begin to wind down. 

 

I'm praying for a Lovie Smith hire in Houston. That would be the best news from a Jags perspective. The Texans won't be nearly as concerning in that scenario.

No, Bill O Brien is just that good. 

 

He was 3rd on my Jags head coaching wish list last offseason behind Reid & Kelly. (Bradley 6th). 

 

We do not want the Texans getting him. Maybe the NFL higher ups do (just to keep the Jags down) but Jags fans shouldn't want to see that happen.

I disagree. I think he moves around and avoids the rush better than any QB in this year's draft. He also throws a very good over-the-shoulder ball.

He benched 400-500 lbs. One of the strongest QBs, probably not one of the strongest at any position.

But would you say Bridgewater is "elite" at mobility/ avoiding the rush? I don't know that I'd go quite that far. Thats why my comment was that I think Bridgewater is good, even very good at basically everything asked from a QB.....but I don't see him as "elite" in any one aspect. 

 

He's still easily the #1 QB from this years draft.

He moves around as good as anyone can expect.
