To the Henne Haters:

Who was he throwing the ball too?  He had no choice but to try to force a ball into tight coverage.  Time was running out and we needed a big play.  Before that his stats were pretty good.

I'm not saying Henne is starter material but he is a decent patch until the future arrives and ready. His starting  WR corps today were conceived of a 4th and 7th round pick. Cut the guy a break

Jaguarmvp ... thank you! obviously they weren't watching the same game we were. Chad had an ok game today besides the 4th quarter. The WRs didn't show up today... well besides Mike brown. There were a few plays today that could have easy touchdowns if the receiver put a little more effort into the play.  We needed to lose anyway....

Chad Henne is a good back up Qb that can come in and at least give us a good quarter or two of play. Getting rid of him would be dumb...

I'm not a Henne hater, but there is no upside with Henne. This is as good as it gets with him. He will definately be signed somewhere next year as a backup, whether it's here or somewhere else. If he does resign here, he will have to beat out whatever other QB the Jags get next year, be it in the draft or from free agency.

I guess there are a few really bad teams with pretty bad QB options out there, but would one of them sign Henne as their starter??? I find it hard to believe, but I guess anything is possible.

One thing is sure though, Henne will not be signed as the starter for the Jags, although there is a chance he resigns as the backup and ends up being the early year starter, depending on the play of the newly acquired Jags QB.

"Newly acquired Jags QB"  Now those are some sweet words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quote:bro you were Gabbert's #1 fan on this forum. u shouldn't be talking about who needs their brain examined.

What are you talking about?

I said he should get a chance to show what he can do and he did. He showed he's not growing, that was good enough for me.

Were you one of the ones begging for Henne in the offseason?
Quote:I fail to see why it's necessary to bag on the guy when everyone knows what he is here. It's not like he's in the long term plans as the starter. The job is his for one more week.
People didn't mind doing it to Garrard. Yeah he was the long term starter at one point but that wasn't his fault.
Chad is a backup QB, some of you act like this is news that he is not a starter. Who's currently better on the roster at QB? That's right no one. Unless you want gabbert back in, atleast games are enjoyable with henne in. We have one more game with henne until we get our QB in the draft.
I'll go out on a limb here with 2 things:

1. The first round pick of the Jags next May will not be a QB. They will select one, but not in the first.

2. Henne will be the opening day starter next September.

Lol!!

What's to lol about, he's a backup, we know it, what's new? Who's better currently?

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I don't care where they draft a QB as long as he's the guy.

What I don't want is Henne starting again. This team can't win consistently with him.

I'm laughing at the excuses. I know henne sucks. I know he's the best we got. Our entire QB situation is a reason to lol

This.. I don't wanna see henne starting ever again. In fact I don't ever wanna see henne wearing a jaguar uniform again.

Yeah, maybe.  Depends on which QB is still available in round 1.
Quote:Back to back weeks in the clutch, Henne fails! Thx Again, although it dont help when your WR dont execute that well to get a first down !! Still give the team a chance Henne!! SMH oh well..

Well, geez, who does he have down field to throw to??  You can't put this entire dismal offensive performance on his shoulders without acknowledging all the missing pieces.
I dislike the fact that Henne is our starter... His "Hot/Cold" streaks has hurt the team by far. As we know he'll play up to par for a few games and then stink it up by playing sub par for a few games. His pocket presence is better than Gabbert's but Gabbert makes better decisions in my opinion...

Here's looking to the 2014 draft...

If Henne has to beat out a rookie QB for the starting job next year we're in SERIOUS trouble.

While that's true today, he has consistently shown he can't win regularly. He has 5 wins in 17 starts and has had Shorts, Blackmon, Marcedes and MJD in some of those losses.

He might be a great backup as as everyone keeps saying but that means he has no business being the starter for this team.

We can't win regularly without a legit starting QB.

I'll cut him a break alright... That last second one handed INT by a LB was simply a Bad Pass by Henne. There were several of those in this game. If he placed the ball properly, the receiver would've had a chance to MOODACHAY...

Henne may start the season but he'll relinquish the position within the first five games...
