Gabbert he is still under contract, trade back collect picks fill spots we need DL center OG CB LB then maybe go 9-7 next year. trade all your picks for winston

LOL.  My head will explode if BG is under center next year in week one.

I get your thinking, here, but............

well most ppl around here dont think there is a diff between Gabbert and henne. i personally think gabbert is better. but no matter that if heene and gabbert are the same we can still win with gabbert. after a year holding the clip board and watching the game from the sidelines i think gabbert will be better the oline playing better will help too. and i really think winston will be in the level of a peyton manning dan mariono brett farve unlike luck rg3 and cam and wilson
Quote:This winning stretch has knocked a few of us "tankers" back to reality. I do not want the Jags to tank anymore either.

That said, I really don't know what QB I want at this point, being that Teddy is pretty much out of the question.

Teddy should be outta the question because he simply sucks.
Kodak, can you do one of your scouting reports for bortles in his bowl game? And as for mallet BB is also a sneaky mofo and knows mallet was coveted by some teams. I wouldn't be surprised if he's kept him on the roster just to try and get a draft pick that was higher than the one used to get him in the first place

Quote:If Mallett couldn't play, BB wouldn't keep him. Simple as that. BB would not waste a roster spot on an inept QB- you just know that he's got a contingency plan geared to Mallett's strengths and capabilities and that Mallett can perform well in it.

That's like saying "If Curtis Painter couldn't play, the Colts wouldn't keep him."
Yes, that's true to a point but Jim Caldwell is not Bill Belichick. BB's objective is the Super Bowl, not a 2-14 record.

One of the best names on the board, IMO, ytraM, along with Capt, Jag Sparrow.
On a different note from the Carr game, I was kinda impressed with the WR Davante Adams but i'm seeing him somewhat high in Mock drafts atm, but if he slips to the third or so do you think we would take a flier on him, for the outside and move shorts to the slot, and have blackmon him and shorts as our 3 WRs? Shorts has had the best luck outta the slot this year it seemed.

SO IT'S SUNDAY let him be hammered at 9am

I assume that anyone still advocating for Gabbert has a BAC near death.
that's kinda harsh, maybe he's just thinking of future tanking, we build up with all the offensive talent in this draft, but keep gabbert behind center so we dont win any games and lock up winston next year?

On a side note, could someone make me a Bortles Bandwagon for my signature haha

'k.
Clowney/or Barr 1st.

Bortles 2nd.

Boom.

Just destroyed two of our biggest failings in an elite passrusher and QB in one swoop.

I hope this is a joke.

I'd love to see that happen, but do not anticipate Bortles being there by the time the Jags pick in the 2nd round.
Quote:Brian Hoyer says hi.
So does Kevin O Connell
Quote:Hopefully Bortles or Carr will still be on the board. Who knows - maybe those guys end up passing Bridgewater when all is said and done. This time last year no one would have expected EJ Manuel to pass Geno Smith to be a top 20 pick and the first QB taken.
Carr looked like garbage against Utah St last night.  Rattles under pressure. Pass.

WHAT???? He played better than your boy Bridgewater did on thursday, yet youre not slamming him.
