Khan is worth some 3.8 billion dollars.

I don't think he's turned off too many business deals due to his grooming, and he's at a point now if he wants to go out disheveled, he can.

I don't have a problem with his appearance.

Heck, have you seen that yacht of his?!?

Dude could come out of that thing wearing a Don King wig, a lime green polyester leisure suit with white belt and matching shoes (like me on a good day) and, were he so inclined, pull all kinds of women.

Oh yeah, I like where this is going...
Quote:Why wouldn't he be serious? Being a new owner he let Gene Smith have a prove it year while Khan learned the ins and outs of being an owner. Why wouldn't you want to be father ahead in a rebuild?

The best decision Shad Khan made to compensate for the mistake he made last year is he didn't force Dave Caldwell to keep Mike Mularkey as the team's Head Coach for another season.  It's not a knock on Mularkey.   In a rebuilding problem though,  it's important that the G.M. can select the HC he feels most comfortable with moving the team forward.

Its not really all that big of a deal to me. If you looked at the progression of this thread, all I did was provide an answer to why someone else in the thread referred to Khan as "Sideshow Khan".... which was asked by someone in the thread...

as usual, the hypersensitive fans from this site couldn't handle what I think was a reasonable observation of mine.

Thats okay, though, because if Khan ever moved the team, these same people would be calling him a heckuva lot worse than me saying he looks straggly because of his hair.

If they've handled it poorly then so have you. You aren't helping anything with your comments.

I cannot believe this even came up in this way but I respect an opinion. I have no problem or issue with that. The potshots and things that came after is what I don't care for.

How did I handle it poorly? Look at my first comment answering the person who asked why the other poster referred to him as Sideshow Khan, and then look what followed.

They responses to them after that point. This will be the last I say on the topic, I've already contributed to it more than I should have.

On topic: I have not listened to Khan's words yet but if what I read is correct props to Khan. He's right but it's hindsight now. He appears to learn quickly and is not afraid to make a tough decision or admit he was wrong.

The responses to them?? Oh, I didn't realize I was just supposed to sit there and get attacked and say nothing back.

I believe what you are essentially doing is called "blaming the victim"....

Quit playing the victim here...you know where you were headed with this thread after your first post...

AND throwing in the "IF" he moves the team.

We have so many GM's around here its amazing.

Just enjoy the team, its progress and where we might be going.

And buy ticket(s) when you can.
Double because I'm an idiot that can't use a touch screen
But don't you all know 87% of all owners with straggly hair hire gms that can't do their jobs properly

Added a team is far more likely to offer lower offers in trades to teams where the owners have straggly hair

The 3rd and 4th would have been a first if Khan had just visited Tmd'S hair salon

Bridgewater and scissors are the sole recipe for jags success

That being said I do feel sorry for TMD as his first comment was faurly innocuous

Whatever and whenever he posts everyone looses their minds Tai'shar troll
Quote:No coach should be forced to work under Sideshow Khan. Worst owner of the worst team in the NFL.
That is a serious post??.....what do you think makes him so bad???? Just curious
If I had his money, and his head of hair, I would wear my hair just like he does.

And I'd have a big old mustache, too.

Khan's comment about regretting not starting the rebuilding process sooner tells me all I need to know about the kind of owner he is.  He's patient but expecting progress.  He wants a winning team.  He'd be a step closer to that end result if he'd pulled the trigger sooner on completely blowing things up and moving in a new direction.  He did what most would perceive to be the "right thing" by allowing those in a position already to prove their worth.  Unfortunately, in hindsight, he should have told Weaver not to extend Gene Smith when he did.  We would have had a new GM in place last year, and odds are pretty good we wouldn't have wound up with Mullarkey as the head coach.  That stymied our ability to turn things around, delaying the inevitable by a year.

That tells me Khan is patient, but he demands positive results.  Someone in this thread called him a sideshow, and the worst owner in the league, but based on what he's done for this franchise and for this city over the past year plus, I beg to differ.  I really believe now after watching this guy for a while that he is determined to build a winning team here, and he's also intent on keeping the team here and making it viable.  This is a great football market that has just grown weary of the same old thing.  I think he recognizes this and he is doing everything he can to turn fortunes around for this franchise.  It ain't always pretty, and we may not always agree with his methods, but it's difficult to argue that it can be successful.

My hope is that he'll continue to win the trust of the locals, and in doing so he will create something that is even more deeply rooted in this community.

The Sideshow Khan barb refers to the fact anybody with any kind of football sense knows to avoid distractions during a football season.

The old saying goes, "don't waste your life trying to warm yourself up to society. Live your life and let society warm itself up to you."

Play football. Just play football. Avoid distractions. Just play football.

Tom Brady is the most famous NFL football player in the world. He played the game. He won the fame.

Just play football.

So, I guess the Billionaire agreed with me after all.....I was calling for that kind of rebuilding as soon as Khan took over, and people like you bashed me for it. But once AGAIN, after time passes, I usually end up correct....

You should thank your lucky stars you have access to my intellect and be grateful I post here.

"I love you, mirror! You're like a huge piece of glitter!"

I can go out in my back yard and find a pile of intellect that matches yours.  Trust me.
