You know what this trade makes sense and for those who are criticizing TMD just for the fun of it needs to get a darn life. In fact, both team would be winners because in the packers case they would get a guy who would have a renew excitement in his career because he would be on a contending team with a top level QB. We would also be a winner in the deal because it would eliminate another bad contract for a guy whose clearly not in our future plans with this team. I'll rather get a draft pick for him and turn around in the second round of next years draft and select Eric Ebron from UNC to go with Blackmon, shorts and hopefully teddy bridgewater. I think Ebron will be a star in the league and would be a massive upgrade over lewis who in turn would help greenbay with not only with their o-line issues but in the passing game.

Serious question: What makes you think he's
not shopping a few vets? There have already been a few anonymous sources saying the Jags contacted other teams about MJD. If nothing happens between now and the deadline, that won't necessarily mean Caldwell didn't conduct due diligence.
