Teams in playoff contention desperate/ having a need at a certain position will do kooky things.....look at Indy earlier this year giving a 1st for Richardson, who is about as good as waiver wire fodder at this point.

When was the last time Green Bay did something kooky?

 

Indy on the other hand may well just have a buffoon in charge. If anything we should ask for 2 2nd rounders or more off Indy for Cecil shorts

Has anyone told Caldwell? Guys, someone phone Caldwell, tell him Mad Dog 'expects' you to make a trade. If you dont do it he is going to post so many bad things about you and how you are too stupid to follow his instructions.

As stated quite a few times in this thread, the Jags were able to get a 5th rounder for an overpaid nothing in Mike Thomas, so thinking that they could get a 5th for Marcedes from a TE needy team, is not unrealistic....

When 22 other teams with smarter GMs bypassed Rogers then the idiot GM from GBay drafted some dude named Rogers.  How stupid when you already have Favre.  It will set them back for quite some time.

A 5th for Marcedes isnt unrealistic until u take into account it was made up by a man on a message board.


There are plenty other teams with TEs they would love to trade for a 5th.


Maybe GB isnt interested in trading for a TE. Maybe GB likes their backups. Maybe Finley is holding a kitten hostage, threatening to kill it if a trade is made.


This whole 5th rounder for Marcedes is a shot in the dark, and therefore highly unrealistic.

Not to mention Ted Thompson doesn't trade away his draft picks for veterans.  I can't think of one example where he has.

Go alert their message boards to make sure some random dude makes a trade proposal.

The Packers are also hurt at DL and OLB.  Maybe we could package Lewis, Alualu, Babin, and Branch and get their 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks.
