Don't worry Jags fans, Colts fans are, as usual really really really impressed with the jaguars.

You keep talking about how Luck is "inaccurate", or overrated, or how the Colts "dont impress you" lol (because impressing Jags fans is what the Colts and Colts fans worry about) meanwhile, the Colts will keep on winning.

So, much respect from Indy Jags fans. Nice to see being on the bottom for so long hasn't made you bitter or anything.

I'm going to the hospital now to do some "jaguaring" for burn victims.....because even though they're in incredible pain, horribly disfigured and will be scarred for life......"jaguaring" never fails to make them smile....and that's what the Jaguars are all about, right? Making people laugh and smile?
Cool helmets BTW. I love the "ran out of paint halfway through" look.

Try tainted corn.
Quote:As the IndyStar's Bob Kravitz once said...  this year's Colts are supposed to go 6-10 after last year's 4-12.  That is generally how the 'rebuilding' process goes.

In one offseason following the 2-14 season, the Colts turned it around and made the playoffs at 11-5 the following year with a completely overturned roster and a brand new staff.

Having beaten 2 top 5 teams in the NFL in 3 weeks  (SF was 4th on most power rankings at the end of week 2, Seattle is/was ranked number 2 in most power rankings going into this past weekend) basically indicates that the Colts are, themselves, one of the top teams in the league (I suspect the Colts will be ranked in the top 5 in this week's power rankings, right behind most/all of the undefeated teams).

THAT is an elite organization.

I don't understand how Andrew Luck is average. He's played his entire short career with a terrible offensive line, yet still has willed his team to win a lot of games in his short career. If you actually watch him play, he can make any throw on the field and has, he can elude pass rushers, and throw on the run. He shows all of these on a weekly basis, and if you don't agree, then just go back and watch highlights of the Seattle game, against one of the, if not the best defense in the NFL where Luck went up and down the field in the final 3 quarters. You can question anything you want about Luck, but he wins, leads, and shows intangibles that only a select few guys show. Luck has 15 career wins as a starter and 9 game winning drives in 4th/OT. The guy knows how to lead his team to victory and I will take that over any stats or any style points any day. Players like Luck win championships. We had a quarterback that put up crazy stats for 13 years.

As for the Colts' GM Grigson, I don't understand why all the criticism. He has pretty much rebuilt the entire team. You don't build championship teams just on 1st round picks. You build them through the entire draft. Basically his entire 1st draft, he found players that contributed right away as rookies on a playoff team. He signed Darius Butler off the streets, who has 4 TDs in his time with the Colts on defense. He found LB Freeman out of the CFL who has been a major producer. Everyone who tries to knock Grigson only looks at the 1st round of the Draft as if that it is any barometer on judging a GM's success. People probably couldn't name off all of the Patriots last 5 1st round picks, yet they keep winning every year. As for that "old guard" that's just a stupid argument. People forget that there was a chance that Mathis and Wayne were going to most likely walk after 2011. But Grigson and Pagano both convinced them to stay. It is also a dumb argument because every winning team wins with veterans and the Colts are included.

Just because one random yahoo started this obsurdity doesn't mean everyone feels that way. Notice how the OP has been strangely silent as of late.

Indy is doing well, and deserves to be where they are. They are beating the teams that the league puts in front of them. It's all a fan can ask for.

Kudos to the Colts for a good season so far. Nothing but respect from this Jag fan. Smile

Just to be serious on this topic for a moment...   (boring!!)

I was impressed with the colts turnaround last season and they've impressed me even more this year.  I hope that the Jags are able to play them tough again next  season.  It's a fun rivalry when the Jags are up to it.  Hoping it gets back to strong competition soon.

On the whole "elite" business...  it's such a played out term these days it's hard to even define it.  Kind of pointless.  The colts won consistently during the Manning years and they look like they'll be pretty darn good with Luck in there too.  The owner behaves like a borderline nut-job occasionally but takes care of business in the end.  I'd just be happy with that were I a colts fan.

So are any Colts fans going to acknowledge that performance? or too busy patting yourself on the back for the Seattle game still?

I did in the other thread on here.

Just a bad a game. Everyone has them and the season is a roller coaster. After week 2 (Dolphin loss) everyone had us going 6-10 and missing the playoffs. The next week we dominated the 49ers on the road and we were back to being considered a playoff team with a possibility of winning the division.
I don't think you had a bad game as such. You just played a similarly mediocre teamm, You win some you lose some.

Saying that I would be running Brown more than Richardson if I was your OC. Not sure what the attempt to be a power running team is about either???

That's a fantastic opinion. However, I firmly believe mediocre teams don't go to San Fran and completely dismantle the 49ers and then beat (who some think) is the best team in the league in the Seahawks. But ok. Keep typing what you're typing and maybe it'll come true...

I agree with running Brown more than Richardson, he has much better burst and wiggle, Trent Richardson has not shown the ability to be a feature back at this point in his career, and his YPC reflect that. He'll continue to get opportunities because of his draft position, but he is clearly just a guy. With that said, the Colts need to open the offense and put more on the shoulders of Andrew Luck, he is the best player on that team, the power running attack is a joke as they don't have a dominant-power offensive line to do such a thing, so play to the strengths of your personell.
