Let's not have the facts get in the way of a good old fashioned witch hunt.

DF, your "sig" is going to get me in trouble at work...  I keep pausing a bit too long.
Kind of concerning to hear the other arrest and numerous speeding tickets he has gotten as well. He needs to grow up fast because he's already on a short leash as it is and I want him to succeed.

Why are you browsing the board at work?
Dude is frustrating as all hell.. Off the field and on.. Good god dude, pull your head outta your [BLEEP] and at least act like a grown man.. Get your [BLEEP] together and grow the hell up already.. Hope Coughlin tears him a new one..
What an idiot.

Seriously.  I can't imagine anyone being so stupid to jeopardize their career by pulling stupid stuff like this (regardless of profession).

The kid is probably going to get a "wake-up call" from the head coach and executive vice-president of football operations for this one.  You don't go around stomping on someone's glasses and throwing their booze into a pond just because they pointed out that you drive like an idiot.  It doesn't really matter if it's the off-season.

What's worse for him though, you know that there is some lawyer out there licking their chops for the upcoming lawsuit.  Of course, that part won't be in the news but I guarantee that it's going to cost him some money to "make this go away".  That pair of glasses and the "pain and suffering" of the individual is going to equal some big money.

At the worst regarding football, I can see him having to sit at least 1 game either handed down from the NFL or from the team management.  I might be wrong on this, but being suspended from a game would probably cost him a paycheck.

The bottom line though is the guy is an idiot.
All this on top of the fact he missed his first year, committed the amount of stupid penalties, can't even rush the passer with his hand in the ground, doesn't equal up to a top 3 pick. Joeckel, Bortles and this clown put Caldwell officially on notice.

I'd honestly be putting him on the trade block the second he has a halfway decent game.
No big deal. Just stupidity.
You'd think with that many tickets he would have accumulated enough points to have his drivers license suspended.....I know you can avoid points with your first offense by going to traffic school, but good god, 10 tickets in 2 years. I can't imagine what his auto insurance rate is.
I'm a Gator fan and I always root for former players when they go to the NFL, especially when they are with my Jags, but for some reason they all crash and burn here.

Alcohol abuse is alcohol abuse.  Whether it be drunk and disorderly or tossing a mans Captain Morgan in a lake.   Laughing
Yikes

Once or twice is stupidity.  Fowler has a pattern of this kind of stupidity.  Now it is a big deal.
It's a misdemeanor charge of simple battery and mischief. You guys need to stop acting like he beat some guy down into a lifeless bloody pulp.

Definitely not the smartest thing he could do, but we don't know what was said to him, which made him get out of the car in the first place. For all we know it was some white guy dropping saying racist things. It could also be as simple as the guy yelling for him to slow down, but I highly doubt that.

His driving record is far more concerning than this incident...

Quote:* Alachua County: A ticket for driving 99 in a 70 ($274 fine) and just three weeks later, he was fined $158 for “failing to stop at a red signal.”

* Pinellas County: Fowler has been ticketed three times in the last six weeks: Driving without insurance (June 11, $166), careless driving (June 15, $166) and a red light violation (July 10, $264).

* Duval County: Fowler has four speeding tickets – December 2015 (74 in a 65), March 2016 (54 in a 45) and November 2016 (74 in a 65) along with the aforementioned July 2016 ticket, which he paid a fine of $450.

He needs to slow it down before something very serious happens to him, or somebody else.

I understand he's young and we all drive fast at times. This pattern of tickets is happening way too often though. It's not just a ticket or two, here or there. It's multiple violations within days and weeks of each other.

Come on  Eric.  You cant have it both ways.  You admit you have no idea what the guy said to make Fowler get out of his car.   Dante has a horrible driving record as you pointed out but it must have been a racist comment.  SMH!

I said it was a racist comment? No I didn't. I said it could have been, as we don't have any clue what actually was said. Surely you don't believe it was something as simple as the guy just telling Fowler to slow down do you?

In this day and age of constant racism. It absolutely isn't out of the question.
Playing the race card? Good grief.

You all but infer that it must have been a racist comment even after stating you don't know all the facts.

What we do know however is that Dante has a history of poor choices both on and off the field.  That is all on him, and the pattern is repeating itself.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him get his ducks in a row and turn it around but his collective history is not very promising.
I don't know who I feel worse for: the Dante Fowler of right now, or the Dante Fowler that reports to Tom Coughlin's office the day veterans check in.

Another bad omen for the season. Just like Ivory last year.

No, I clearly said that I highly doubt it was something as simple as the guy telling him to slow down.

It also probably wasn't as heavy as racism either, but it was obviously enough to make Fowler get out of his car.

It was probably something in between those two lines. You never know though.
