Quote:And the actor could have just gone about his business and left his personal issues out of his job. What's your point?

It wasn't his views alone it was a collaborative effort by the cast.
Quote:Yeah, they should have to leave because someone decides to bring their personal issues into it a play they paid money to see. That seems totally reasonable.
The play was over. They paid money to see the play and they saw it.

So?
Quote:So?

Facts are important?
Quote:Exactly what does "political correctness" have to do with an actor berating the future VP at a play he paid money to see?

You want to silence your critics.  Anyone who might dare speak out against the Vice President, shouldn't be allowed to say what they want to say.  (Unless it happens to be about Obama/Biden, of course.  I still remember when the Dixie Chicks were treated like traitors for saying they were ashamed that Bush was the president, but those same people applauded Ted Nugent for his comments criticizing Obama).  The hypocrisy is hilarious.  It's politically correctness to expect people not to speak out.

Mall Santa gets fired for telling little girl, unprovoked, that Hillary is on the naughty list?  TOTALLY FINE by you guys.  He shouldn't have been fired!  He has free speech.  (I guess if the little girl had been VP, it would have been expected that Santa not tell her unprovoked who's on the naughty list)

Cast of Hamilton calls out the VP?  ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!  NOT THEIR PLACE!  What right do they have (other than, you know, the first amendment) to call out the VP at a musical he paid to come and see?!

I guess you conservatives need your safe spaces.

Okay.
Quote:It's hilarious and sad.

They get upset when people boycott Chick Fil-a for their stance on gay marriage, but then when Starbucks puts out Red Cups without the word "Christmas" on it, they act like someone's declared war on them.

What they hate isn't PC culture.  What they hate is when people call them out on what they do.  They want to be free of criticism.

I'll be the first to concede that hypocrisy abounds on both sides. The secret is to look inward and determine if the fringes who make the news headlines truly speak for us. I've not heard about the Starbucks issue, but I thought the whole Chik Fil-a issue was blown completely out of proportion - by both sides.

An offer for a free year's membership came with a firearm I recently bought. It went into the trash. While I appreciate their efforts to stem those who would strip 2nd Amendment rights, their overall tone of hysteria puts me off.

Really?  Because according to Newt, feelings are more important.

Truthiness
Pence might not be able to sleep after that berating he took....
Also think it's hilarious that they consider THIS berating.  This was far from berating.  I thought they were pretty damn respectful.  But I guess conservatives are easily triggered.  I mean THIS is what you're offended by?  Really?

Show me an instance where something like this happened to Obama or Biden and those of us on here being okay with it. If it didn't, you're just [BAD WORD REMOVED] in the wind. The Dixie Chicks and Ted Nugent are cases of people putting their support and their money behind people they agree with, or disagree with. You don't like the message the Chicks put out, don't go to their concerts, same with Ted Nugent. And really, are you trying to cry about hypocrisy when the Left treats Nugent just like the Right treats the Chicks? Both sides are hypocrites, stop acting like you're above it.

The mall Santa, you need to go back in that thread and find the person that says he shouldn't have been fired, or for that matter, anyone on here saying that this actor should be fired for saying what he said. Hyperbole is really fun, right?

About those First Amendment right, guess what? I've got them too and I'm free to say I think it was an inappropriate time and place, no matter how politely you think the message was delivered.

Safe spaces? Really? Get back to me when those on the right actually start asking for them...

hyperbole is strong with you this morning. You can have an opinion on something and not be "offended" by it.

Calling this statement "berating" is the definition of hyperbole.
Quote:And they still subjected those people to their political rant that didn't sign up for a political event, don't you think?
Tell me, what did you think of Chappelle's SNL monologue?
Quote:Calling this statement "berating" is the definition of hyperbole.

You're right, admonished would have been a better word.

Quote:Tell me, what did you think of Chappelle's SNL monologue?

Never seen it.
Quote:Just another case of the far left using hyperbole in an attempt to set the narrative. Racism, and the new leftist word du jour - xenophobia, being the primary components. White shaming has been on the rise and will only accelerate once Trump takes office. It's just a matter of time before we hear about white high school students being accused of bigotry, racism, xenophobia, yada, yada, yada..., because they enter into a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with another white student. Most likely initiated by a teacher. I'd bet a dozen Krispy Kreme hot glazed donuts on it.

This is priceless. As one the leaders of the "anything said about Obama or Clinton can't be sleazy enough" is now calling for proper discourse.

Hahahahahaha.

How does it feel to be exposed as a fool?
Seems the audience was in favor of the statement. Lots of clapping!

Really does he only care about what the folks who voted for him think? Isn't the point to listen to both sides of the equation?

Sorry, but the Moron in Chief Elect tweeting about this is why more people voted for Hillary than him.
I see that Donald is already complaining.

How dare the serfs be allowed to question their Lords! In the King's home town no less. Apologize - or suffer the consequences.
