Meh, the method Marrone is trying to utilize to test/motivate Blake doesn't hit home without real actions. I'm sure his hope is that all on the team see this as a " Hey no one is safe" moment.
I am happy to see this.  Henne has never played with a good team so lets see what he has.  I'm tired of seeing Forest Blake with his ray charles throws.

Blame it on the Henne!

Man that is an awful way to run this team...

Bortles has had alot of batted balls too.

It ends well with Caldwell?
The boos will rain down hard upon the field as the chenne is introduced.

Im not sure how good 4 wins is vs 3 though Sad

The extra win will cause us to narrowly miss out on a generational QB and we draft a bust instead. Eventually this bust is replaced by a 40 year old Chad Henne.

This team has drafted in the top 5 for 4 years straight.  How many generational QB;s have we been in posiiton to draft?  I'm tired of talking about the draft.  I want to see this team win.  I also believe Borltes sucks and Henne gives the team a better chance of winning.

I would rather take CheckDown Henne than BBint pick 6

How does Caldwell still have a job?
Now that Henne is gonna feel the pressure of being a starter, he's gonna suck. Get used to Henne calling lots of timeouts.  Scared to throw the ball intermediate to deep to an open receiver and instead check it down.  His specialty throw is back shoulder throw down the sideline. Batted balls at LOS. The Jags are gonna be in disarray. Going to be another comical season.
@ Skeetballbro, I told you Bortles wouldn't be the starter in 2018. It's official. The Blake Bortles era is over. He is done.

Henne will stop gap until we draft our future in 2018 and by 2019 we will be heavy favorites to win the division and get a home playoff game. We are littered with talent across the board.

Too bad we picked up his 5th year option now we pay him 19 million bucks to ride pine.

And don't think if Henne struggles that Bortles will get another shot. Nope...it will be Brandon Allen.

So long Bortles. Thanks for absolutely nothing. You can have the TD record. Forever known for garbage time. Titans Thursday night at halftime was a reflection of his entire career. Down 28-0 with 43 yards passing. Ends the game with 300.

Spacecoastjag is somewhere defending this guy. He was worse than Leftwich or Gabbert. Seriously.

I keep seeing this myth that Henne has never played on a good team when the team he started with in Miami was way better then any team he had with us and he had his worst season. He also made Brandon Marshall look like a scrub.

If you interview 8 people, and 7 tell you that they'd change QBs because the one you have isn't good, what does that tell you?
Coughlin knew Blake was not a starting QB from the get go. Why were there no steps taken to combat that? Like bring in a FA QB or draft one?

Don't bother trying to bring reality into the discussion. It's not really about liking Henne, it's about hating Blake and desperately flailing for anything else.

It's obvious you weren't watching football in 2008/2009/2010 because those Dolphins teams weren't bad at all.

They went 11-5, 7-9 and 7-9. They drafted Henne in 2008 and he took over in 2009 and 2010. They only won 7 games in 09 and 10, because Henne throws more INTs than TD passes and he can't move the ball down field. All he had to do was be a game manager as well because those teams were built around running the football and playing good Defense. He still couldn't even do that.

Exactly.

Which is why it's going to be comedy watching how everybody tries to spin this once they realize Henne is still Henne, aka awful. I'm already having flash backs of the fans cheering for when we finally got pass the 50 yard line with Henne as the QB.
It simply has to be a motivational type of ploy. Otherwise it tells us Maronne/Coughlin seriously think the chenne gives the team a better chance to win and that is just crazy talk. If they truly believe that it would be clear the team has once again put the wrong people in place.

Have you been following the Jaguars at all? Henne isn't a turnover machine and can actually  hit a receiver. He's easily the better QB between the 2. The coaches know it.
I think this front office thinks they are smarter than everyone else meanwhile they have been terrible for the past 10 years.

Coughlin better be working the phones offering draft picks for decent backups around the league.

Let's get AJ McCarron in here.
