We're saying it now.

The climate is changing because of humans. That is an indisputable fact.

Great, another topic for this idjit to muck up.

97% of scientists already have
Quote:First, do you ever not use snark?

I don't typically involve myself in climate change discussions. I really find it boring to research. Thats what environmental engineering is for. I was just digging into your question further and wondered where you fall in the argument.

With you? No.

Have you dug up an answer to my question yet?

No, you're wrong.

You didn't ask me a question.

I didn't say I asked you a question.
Drill baby drill

75 of 10,200+ on an online survey agreed and Obama and Kerry ran with it. #butmypolls2016

And this was what was being said in the 1970s.
Quote:97% of scientists already have

Are you saying that this represents 97 % of all scientists?
Quote:The climate is changing because of humans. That is an indisputable fact.

That's your opinion which you and anyone is entitled to believe.  It's NOT an indisputable fact.
Quote:Are you saying that this represents 97 % of all scientists?

I was going along with the thread because of love to hang on to numbers like that. Remember all the 91% craziness when Jerry Porter was on the team?

Obviously it does not include all scientists. That is impossible because many researches specialize in totally different things like medical and surgical treatments.

One thing to consider is that data can be and often is skewed to support a position.

That is exactly what the deniers do. Once I had to hear Rush Limbaugh's attempt to disprove global warming exists. He used newspaper articles that were published when my sister was a baby.
Quote:So not believing in man made climate change means you're okay with polluting the air, water and soil? Yeah, makes total sense....

He has said he wants to remove environmental regulations on the energy industry. He appointed a guy who will tell him.. "sure.. no problem with that," in the position which is supposed to oversee the environmental impact of such deregulation. So.. yeah.. he's okay with increasing air/water/soil pollution. You don't have to believe me today. But remember this in a couple of years. Regardless of whether there is an official number of 97% (I feel bad having used it as the focus has gotten shifted to that number), the majority of scientists believe in negative, man made climate change. There is too much evidence to bury your head in the sand and deny it. But Trump just appointed a guy who will not get in his way when he wants to make these decisions which impact everyone. This move shows there is a 0% chance a Trump presidency will decrease pollution. Probably pretty low on everyone's list of priorities until it becomes a problem. Whereas other countries are innovative with respect to clean and renewable energy, we are still not really investing there.

You missed my point. You can deny climate change exists and still support clean air, water and soil. It's not an all or nothing kind of thing.

What specifically was in those articles that you believe warrants them being outdated information?
