To all the people who say, "I will no longer support the NFL..." I have a request.

Do what you say you are going to do and just go away. Don't hang around haranguing those who will not follow the same path, acting like you have some sort of moral or patriotic superiority.

If you want to stop supporting the NFL, then do so. I support your decision. You've talked the talk, now walk the walk and go away like you said you would.

Being here is not supporting the NFL, the team disassociated itself with us. We're an independent affinity community now.

It looks like the plan for this week is everyone standing with locked arms, including the paying customers in the stands.  I'm all for that and wouldn't mind if it became a tradition.  Some of my most memorable Jaguar games occurred while locked in the arms of the random fan.

It's not as you might think, you dirty-minded gadabouts.  Her husband was there.  She was just too big for the seat.  And I was the type to require about 98% of my seat space anyway.  I squoze in there with my shoulders hunched together as narrow as I could make them.  She was at least 4 inches into my seat.  After about 30 seconds she said "Uh-uh honey, this ain't gonna work", and put her big arm around me like my own sweet Mother never did.  We spent an enjoyable Jaguar victory arm-in-arm, with her husband supplying the peanuts.
Bwahahaha

Told you, fans win out. Once the threat might hit the players and owners pockets, they will stand.

Seriously dude, just go away.

You mean like when Liberal Hollywood threatened to move to Canada when Trump got elected?

The dumbest thing ever.  It's still a Jacksonville Jaguars message board.  If you want nothing to do with the Jacksonville Jaguars because of their protest, why would you even come to their fan webpage when you aren't a fan?  Want to know why?  Because you will still follow and watch the games.  It's easy to say you wont watch the games, but most of the people saying it really wont follow through.  It's big talk with nothing to back it up.
Hahahahaha Byron LeftTown that was funny.
Ran across this snippet of the US Flag code...

http://www.usflag.org/uscode36.html#173

"(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

I trust we'll see similar patriotic moralizing and angst against various beer companies and department stores. [/sarcasm]
Do you know what the funny thing is now?

The NFL has completely diluted the protest. The cowboys knelt before the anthem then stood for it, and got tons of hate and abuse for it.

The Saints have came out and said they're going to kneel and then stand as soon as the anthem is played.

And guess what? They're still getting the same reaction from fans. Fans are still burning jerseys, the fans are still saying they'll never watch a game against.

So it wasn't actually about the anthem at all. It wasn't about disrespecting the flag. It wasn't about disrespecting the military.

While they've completely taken away from the point Kap was making they've also pointed out the sheer hypocrisy from those complaining about the protest in the first place.

I didn't say I was leaving. Being here doesn't benefit the team, does it? Even the ads here benefit the site and not the NFL in any way i think.
God we have a bunch of people who really don't believe in the actual rights that our military swears an oath to support, which they often times do right on our very own field of play.

Meanwhile, the trumpeters own crownies are robbing us blind an they don't begin to care.

Apparently offending people doesn't matter to you, only motive (or claimed motive) counts.

So you must support the rights of those scum who wave Confederate and Nazi flags. After all, they claim they are just trying to draw attention to a cause they believe in, in that case the protection of historical statues.

Offending someone? Careful, you're starting to sound like a liberal.
