How do you miss the team photo? That's pretty bad unless there was some sort of emergency. That being said, I can understand why fans would be pissed. It essentially punishes them too. It's a tough situation though cuz a fine doesn't do much either.

Yes, he deserves a fine.
Fournette should know the rules and he knows the consequences. You want Bradley back with all the sprinkles? Accountability.

I would've fined him, but you know Coughlin established the rules beforehand.
If Fournette missed a photo then you know he already knew that doing so could mean he gets benched. Coughlin and Marrone are the types of coaches that tell their players everything up-front and the consequences of failing to do it.

Look at all these snowflakes complaining about discipline.
Ever drive a vehicle into a snowbank? The snow wins out every time. When snowflakes unite... Come up with a better insult.
Anyway, I don't have an issue with the discipline. I'm just hoping it isn't a serious enough violation that this could "snowball" into something more. The post that mentions there's more to it than just missing a team photo makes me wonder.

Jeopardizing team success to prove a point. Rules is rules but let’s be real. The goal is winning. They better win this game or imma be pretty upset with this front office for doing this.
11-05-2017, 01:18 PM
In all honesty, and as dumb as this is, this couldn't have come at a better time if you think about it.. A game we're supposed to win, extra rest for Fournette's foot and he should be at or near 100% leading up to a nice playoff push for the second half of the season..

How about you do a team photo week 1, you know, when everyone is actually healthy and all tendons are intact.

Well that's that, then. A missed practice is a much better reason than a photo.
Hopefully this decision doesn't bite them in the [BLEEP] today. If they lose teh game because Yeldon or Ivory fumble the ball or whatever, you'd better believe we're going to be hearing about it until the next game.
He didnt miss a practice, a workout is not a practice, thats when they workout in the gym

I'm pretty sure the photo shoot, meeting and workout was in the same day
We dont know why he did it, I bet he was in New Orleans with his daughter and family taking care of business there, nothing malicious, and just didnt make it back, but they have their dumb rules in place acting like they cant just fine a guy but your suspended for that stuff.
I don't want Fournette missing a game, but if he missed an entire day's-worth of activities, then he deserves to be benched.
Clearly, Fournette is the only one having a problem following the rules, and that should tell you something.

It’s all about DISCIPLINE and ACCOUNTABILITY.
Something we’ve been missing for the last few years.
Yes, it hurts, but you have to do it for the long term good of the team.

Fine him and start Ivory instead. Deactivation means the whole team and fan base suffers. Also absurd that they knew about this for a week but just an hour ago decided to let people know. Don't want to give people another reason not to show up I guess.

Exactly, whether you agree or disagree with the decision, the timing is awful. One side will argue that it was gamesmanship, the other side will argue its attendance related.

I'm guessing they knew about this all week. I doubt they'd miss out of a week's-worth of practicing with Ivory to teach him a lesson.

It happened one time, your acting like he's been breaking rules a lot
Sometimes you miss flights or they get delayed, we dont know why he missed it, but one thing I do know Fournette is a good kid and he wouldnt just miss it just cuz he didnt want to go, something must have happened, but the team stuck with their guns.
