(11-13-2017, 07:37 PM)The_Franchise_QB Wrote: [ -> ]The weather combined with the fact they are #5 in run defense,I don't really see how our offense is productive. On the flip side though, I don't see how their offense will be productive. I think we will see a lot of Dareus this game as run defense will be the priority. Dareus is also used to this type of weather from Buffalo.

In a defensive game, how could you not like the Jags. Not to mention when the Browns do throw... they lead the league in int's with 18. I think our DBs will be showing up hungry, foaming at the mouth for a pick 6.

Their defense is badly schemed. We shouldn't have any issues with putting points on them, especially with how good Hackett has shown he can be at making the opening 20 play script.

They play 2 high most of the time so we shouldn't see as much 8 men boxes as usual. They blitz a ton so Blake will have to be sharp and take his checkdowns.

Overall they don't have enough offensive talent to trouble us. We will feast against Kizer and his slow processing. Only danger man we should watch out for is Duke Johnson. He's a dangerous reciever and runner.  Think of a supercharged Ekeler who can line up wide.
Offensive talent is your worry? Are you kidding?  You do realize weather is a MAJOR factor ... this is cold weather brother... windy at that... running football time... man up time. DAREUS time... watch.... The fact you are worried about the Browns on offensive my god....

Yeah, reason for concern that Bortles is a Florida guy, went to UCF, not used to cold weather. I played college QB up north. It’s definitely different. The ball is harder and more slippery. The ground, if frozen, feels like you’re playing on concrete. Fournette is also a southern guy . So, it wouldn’t surprise me to see multiple fumbles and, if the wind is a factor, passing will be very difficult. Twenty-five degrees and above isn’t too bad, however, and once you’re warmed up, it isn’t much of a factor.
I'll be at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Phoenixville watching the game on Sunday if any Philly area fans are around there.
The Jag's defense will negate the Cleveland offense. Cleveland will stuff the box to stop the run. The game will come down to how well Bortles is able to perform with a controlled game-manager-type passing game in colder weather. I see a fairly low scoring game with a victorious Jags outcome....17-10.

I feel like everyone just copies and pastes this same post but edits the team name for whoever we are playing this week. (Minus the weather part)

True.

However that's largely how five of the games this year have played out thus far.  Probably still accurate moving forward.

I forgot the biggest reason of all. Browns gave tittians a chanllage who kicked our butts in jacksonville. this will by no means be a easy game. it is definttly a trap game as well as a must win. you lose to the browns, you will lose the rest of your games.

Lose to the Browns and then you will automatically lose the rest of your other games this season? Not really sure I follow your logic.

Ok so what scares the Jags? Crowell? Kizer? I truly want to know.

Not sure what you're missing... but JackCity is saying their offense doesn't have anything to scare the Jags....with the only caveat being a RB that can do what the bolts did Sunday

Nah, the only guy who might us some issues is Duke Johnson their receiver/running back. Hes their best offensive player.
This will likely be a near elite showing by the Jags defense again. I think they'll pretty much shut down any chance of success for Cleveland's offense.

All the Jags offense will need to do is have 2 or 3 good drives that ends in at least 1 TD and some FGs. AND, not make any stupid mistakes (bad INTs,,fumbles,,penalties).

The defense will give the Jags offense great field position 2 or 3 times, where the offense only has to get a first down or two to get a FG. (Heck, the defense might even score, or get a turnover where the offense is already near the Red Zone)

*BTW - Cincinnati's defense completely shut down the Browns earlier.
The Browns are in for a real tough day with the Jags.

Good points, hope this is true!

By the way, I haven't seen JaguarsWoman posting in a long time. Is she gone for good?

I think we blow them out, sorry i'm not falling for the trap crap, they are 0-9 for a reason they suck, they had a 17 point lead on Detroit and still lost by double digit points

And the board has become quite refreshing for the time being.

Colts, Cincy and the Ravens played the Titans tough, all teams we blew out, none of that means anything, just cuz Tenn beat us bad has nothing to do with how they played the Browns and how we will play the Browns.

We are better then Tenn, that game was an anomaly
