Browns gave tittians a chanllage who kicked our butts in jacksonville. this will by no means be a easy game. it is definttly a trap game as well as a must win. you lose to the browns, you will lose the rest of your games.
That's not how it works Wolfie.
One thing we also have going for us, is this team seems to play better on the road(away from Jacksonville) and has done so this year as well. If not for some terrible no call via down by contact freebie ref touchdown in NY we would be 4-0 on the road. I think we win, but not so sure with our WRs being so thin and uncertainty on the O line way keep our scoring low, unless the defense can get some turnovers/short fields or touchdowns themselves.
I think this is a game the defense takes over. Not make plays but takes over. 8 sacks, 3-4 turnovers and a defensive td or two. Browns are terrible on offense. Defense they’re decent. Just have to go up quick and take them out of the game.
The Browns losing Joe Thomas for the year was a huge blow for the Browns and the NFL. It's a blessing for us. We can lock down their WRs and stop the run and rush the passer when need be. Holding the Chargers and Melvin Ingram to 27 yards on 16-17 carries was impressive. Throw in the fact that Travis Benjamin, Mike Williams, Keenan Allan and Hunter Henry finished with pedestrian games was a good sign to me. I don't care what anyone says, Eckler got lucky on one of his two receiving TDs with a down field pick. This will come down to if our Run game can get it going in the bitter Phio cold
I'm not worried about the Cleveland offense at all. I think we've already covered why.....
I'm scared like hell the jags OFFENSE, on the other hand, will perform poorly. With Hurns out, the Oline banged up, Fournette possibly still recoving from being banged up himself....little nervous about how those guys are gonna play.
I love the confidence some have in us but let's not get too carried away. Not too long ago we were the 0-8 team, and we know how those teams can fight.
I'm amazed it hasn't been flexed for SNF. We should win but it has trap game written all over it. It will be a new experience for this team, expected to win and win comfortably.
We need to get the run going this week and get Bortles back to his usual throwing numbers. D should be able to get to Kizer but we have struggled at times with mobile QB's.
Any given Sunday and all that but I'll take an ugly 9-6 if it means we are 7-3. Wow, we could be 7-3!!

If this team is truly as good as we think and as good as some people around the league think, this is the type of game that good teams don't lose, or even play it close. We should come out and take control from the very first snap and not look back. That's what good teams do in games like this.
This team should have no business losing this game, or even winning a close game for that matter. It should be completely one sided from the start. I completely agree and understand about "any given Sunday", but this game should be a complete beat down.

I completely agree with you and i hope that's the attitude that the team play with. I don't know if we are at that level where we can be 4-5 scores up and rest the starters. We can do it, I just don't know if we can turn it on to that level when we want yet.
But I want to see the team take the approach you mentioned and set a standard. It's easy to get up for the big games but these are the ones that can haunt you in December. I want us to send a message, to make a statement about how far we've come and how we're going to get better.
We are the 5th best team in the AFC for a reason.
Wow! You think our fan base was in full riot mode while we were losing......go read the comments on Cleveland.com left by the Breveland Clowns fans.

Nah, the only guy who might us some issues is Duke Johnson their receiver/running back. Hes their best offensive player.
Crowell too
Cleveland could beat us like the Rams did. Or like the Jets. Block a punt. Jags fumble a punt return. Tipped pass for int returned for a TD. Give up a KO return.
We just gotta keep doing what we do.
I don't think the weather will be that big of a deal.
55-60 on Saturday, so the field will not be frozen.
I think the Jags win this game easily, the Clowns just find a way to lose every week.
its real simple if you can't beat the browns ,you can't beat anyone. thats why jags must win this game. a lose to the browns ends your season. it would make you so bad you could lose to a loseing high school football team. Jags must beat the browns sunday.

Jags seem to destroy teams with poor Olines and QBs. Savage, Flacco, Brisett, Dalton...... Kizer is the worst starting QB in the league. I think this defense is still out to prove something. They didn't get a sack last week so the line is hungry. I bet you Bouye and Gipson are mad they didn't score. I bet you Telvin is mad he missed so many tackles.
I think this defense is going to come out on fire.
I don’t know why but I just keep foreseeing this team laying an egg this weekend. Man I hope I’m wrong because we will be the laughingstock of the league if so

But, why? I can see thinking we play it close, or the Browns hang around for a while, but going out and laying an egg? So many players on defense would have to play terribly for that offense to do anything north of 13 points. Our offense was still able to move the ball OK on LA. I see no reason we shouldn't be able to pound the rock with lf Ivory grant and play defense to win this game.

Jags just have to capitalize on the Browns turnovers. They do that and the Jags win big.
