Quote:The Titans just whooped our [BAD WORD REMOVED] with the same philosophy. And they had fun doing it.

The Titans have a better running back. If DeMarco Murray chose Jacksonville we could get similar results.
garbage, gus is the main thing wrong with this team

might as well fire the water boy

completely totally inept organization top to bottom the worst in sports imo

I don't trust anyone named Nathaniel. Nathan...sure. Nate...yeah. Nathaniel...no way.

It's more the run blocking scheme i think. Everyone is playing 2 safetis deep against the Jag's with only 7 in the box. Have to be able to run against that somehow.
Quote:Hope he sticks with the uptempo offense, and let Bortles throw out the pocket where he has like 100 passer rating, stop forcing him to throw from the pocket unless its a quick slant pass

Bortles is best when the Jags are down by 17 maybe they need to him that when he gets on the field.
Fun fact: Our HC, DC and OC all have shaved heads. Not sure that means anything at all..

If Hackett can find a way to hang 20 on the chefs before garbage time, then I like the move.

Of course I don't see it happening unless Bortles wakes the [BAD WORD REMOVED] up and plays at least "average" in the first half.  I saw nothing Thursday to give me confidence that will happen.

I like that. Looks like Hackett is getting started on correcting Bortles mechanics.

Thank God.

I'll happily accept any move (desperate or otherwise) that will potentially help Blake get back on track.

Question is, Why did it take 8 weeks to do this? Its been happening since the preseason

This is a good thing.  I suggested in another thread that the team needed to bring in Tom House.  If Dedeaux has been working directly with Bortles at 3DQB, bringing him in is just as good.  If you look at what they do out in California, it's not just about mechanics.  That's  big part of it, but it covers nutrition, psychological, and mechanics.

Bortles needs someone to get him realigned with where he was headed last year.  The fact that they're bringing in Dedeaux tells me they're serious about doing whatever is necessary to help Blake shake this current slump off.  Let's hope it helps.  These guys are the QB whisperers, so if anyone can give Blake the tools to fix this, it's them.

Shouldn't of waited half the season to do so.

Bortles should have spent the off season visiting California to keep working on his mechanics.  That's not on the team.  That's his fault for not trying to improve himself.
Can we just hire Tom House, Jordan Palmer, or Adam Dedeaux to be our QB coach? lol

I think there was a problem between bortles and olsen. When i was watching the game you could see bortles just looking in disgust over at the sidlines when olsen called one of those 2nd and long runs up the middle. Im not saying BB is good but i think olsen might have  had a hand in his decline. last year throw it and dont worry bout concequences we were behind so it didnt matter. this year we are in more games and it looks like they stuck in BB head that if you dont think its there dont throw it, its just the way he hesitates and that is coatching and i think particularly the OC. I think BB wants to wing it thats why he is better in the 2 min he doesnt have to put up with the -2 yards and a cloud of dust from olsen. Lets see if Hacket can call a better game. I really dont think coaching is the problem as much as calling the game and adjusting to what defenses are doing.

It is the team's fault that he regressed and needs to do this.
