Fournette is a loser/team killer/failed frikkin athlete/a wasted talent/Carmelo Anthony type. He should be short yardage only Yeldon is our best back, Bortles cannot excel with Fournette out there.

Just stop.
Fournette has been really ineffective lately i dont get it.

As I said, let him play on the current deal through 2018, use a high draft pick on a young QB and see how things play out in 2018.

Agreed

He's playing hurt.
There's nothing more to "get."   Seems pretty simple.
He shouldnt be playing then. Yeldon has been hitting the hole faster and has looked better problem is he fumbles too much.

He also dropped a pass that killed a drive yesterday - should have been an easy first down with a nice chunk of additional yardage.

Players play through injury all the time.  You can't just say "he shouldn't be playing" when he's gone out there hurt already this season multiple times and looked better than the next best option.

He may have reached the point of diminishing returns now, but you can't really blame them for trying when it has worked a number of times already.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a rested, healed Fournette be a big reason the Jaguars advance deep into the playoffs.
Bortles still is having stastically one of his better years even after yesterday’s fiasco. Bring in a vet and a rookie and let the three duke it out in training camp. No more Henne either.

I hope they rest him and a few others in nashville.
Yup. We're locked into the 3 spot. Would rest Fournette, hold out Lee and Hurns, maybe hold out Ramsey (as I don't think he is 100%), and maybe a couple other frontline guys.

It would suck basically giving Tenn the playoff nod, but at least we would get them at home.
Even after throwing 3 picks Bortles is still a top 5 QB from week 7 on statistically.
Just a bad game. Some alligator arms on a few throws and a few mess ups. It’s all good

I’m still sold on him at this point
I'm still not sold on him despite the nice stretch.
Idk man, he had a few bad throws, all qbs do, hell Russell Wilson threw 3 pics against us in a loss. Idk man, all three pics weren't the usually insanely wrong read pic 6 type throw we where used to, the one hander was a freak play, the Cole one he stopped on his route and tipped it to the guy, yeah he would have taken a hit if he doesn't stop but might not be a pic there, then the back shoulder to dede was miscommunication, how the Cb knew to turn around and look idk, maybe dede saw the guy trailing and didnt think blake would throw back shoulder there, who knows, either way, bortles had scoring drives in crucial momen's of the game, and he kept poise about him and willed the team, I've nevery seen him do that.

Unfortunately San fran just gave the afc playoff field the recipe. Go back and watch the highlights and you'll see they straight up abused Gipson and poz. Bring a guy in motion, play action and sneak the fullback or tightend across the formation, and they're wide open because our guy didn't pay attention and crashed down instead of keeping the backside edge. I guarantee you that tennessee aND Pittsburgh and new England are all going to go run heavy with extra motion and play action against our d, and throw over the middle with short quick passes sprinkled in and frequent stretch runs mixed in. So idk, clean up the penalties, touch up on some assignment fundamentals and we should be good. Because we should be able to lean on fournette if we play those three teams, and look what houston did to Pitts d, they ran all over em.
This Offense is so predictable when Fournette is on the field. Oh Fournette is in the game? It's 95% chance that it's a run. Fournette isn't in the game? Likely a passing play. Wash, rinse, repeat.
(12-25-2017, 07:32 PM)I hope so man if he gets us 100 a game we\d be hard to beat.  rollerjag Wrote: [ -> ]I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a rested, healed Fournette be a big reason the Jaguars advance deep into the playoffs.
People talk about bortles performance with 4nette vs w/o. I think if you really wanna place blame look at the OC. If 4Nette is on the field and we arent 2 scores behind Its almost always 2 runs pass. Look at the 2nd half mounting a comeback with yeldon, no one knew what the play all as going to be and we had better sucess running and passing. They need to treat 4nette like the rams are treating gurley

Oh I agree. I'm not placing blame on Fournette. It's definitely on the OC.

I wonder if the reason Fournette was playing was to get him to 1000 yards.
