Barring an epic playoff push to a title, and maybe even if we do that... I think it is very clear we need a QB and need one bad. Bortles has had some flashes, but what QB hasn't? He may start next year but you need to restructure him to a team friendly deal and draft a QB early.
What a tease those three games were in December. It isn't all on him because you have to catch that ball Westbrook but he is a rookie. Just a waste.

Going to be a tough off season.
I think next week is a better game to judge rather than this meaningless game.

How was this game meaningless when we let a rival in the playoffs? You don't go into the playoffs losing 2 in a row while playing your starters all 8 quarters. You are in denial.
Bortles has shown he's capable. Not a HOF QB but this offense lacks an identity. We don't have a super stud WR to bail us out when we become one dimensional. All the pressure gets put on the rookies and pass protection play after play while the defense is pinning their ears back. We have to find a way to run the ball. We run the ball a lot but it is never effective. When we have that balance Blake has all-pro numbers. I thought we had some holes out there to run through. Just no confidence or balance.
This team wins when special teams is average
Bortles will do some excavating in the post season.
Does this franchise take a chance on "Good Blake", or "Bad Blake, or bring in a Cousins (I don't think he'd ever sign with JAX)? I do not think BB5 is our QB next year.

One day its the Defense (more often than not).
Or, the Offense (less often than not).
Or, the unpredictable Special Teams (horrific the last couple of weeks).

ST mistakes and Dede drop cost us the game today, but I'd rather play BUF than TEN or SD.
Ever since you sent those trash cans to Clowney, Bortles has proven he is TRASH. KARMA.
For whatever reason, the brass hasn't put the tools around Bortles to give a true indication of what type of QB he can be.

1. We have refused to get him an athletic safety blanket TE
2. We have refused to shore up the OLine.
3. We have refused to get him a real WR weapon. He is playing with mainly rookies for crying out loud.

Are we expecting too much from Bortles with his current cast? Probably. Are Bortles flaws too much to overcome? Probably.

We drafted an offensive lineman in round 2 and had one of the best lines in the league this year. It definitely needs additions but it was an elite unit this year.
"Elite" might be stretching it, just a bit....

This OL is an elite unit? LOL!

This OL has played well this year, but it's far from elite and is clearly not the same without Cam Robinson.

Emphasis on "definitely needs additions" and "this year". By all metrics it was an elite unit this year, despite injuries too. Flaherty has done a top job with meh players like Cann and Omameh + a rookie.

And yeah most lines tend to play worse without starters..

Which is because Bortles has had a big part in making this OL look better than they have actually been.

It's been a top 5 run blocking line independent of Blake.
In the passing game it's been extremely well coached by Pat Flat. Shows how important having the Oline playing as one unit is Vs just having good players on it. And of course Blake has helped by avoiding extra sacks and generally getting the ball out on time.

You honestly can't be serious right now... A top 5 run blocking line independent of Blake? Fournette has looked like complete [BLEEP] in multiple games because the run blocking has been god awful..

An extremely well coached Oline in the passing game? Yet you admit Bortles is avoiding sacks and getting the ball out.. If the OL is great at pass blocking, why does Bortles have to constantly avoid sacks to try and make a play?

Yep.  By every metric you can use for offensive line play we have done very well this season. Highest % of positive runs just after the Saints. Averaging over 2 yards before our running backs reach the tackle point. Good for 6th in the league. Most rush yards per game. All while facing more 8 man boxes than any other team. Definitely been rough weeks but yeah it's easily a top 5 run blocking line this season.

Offensive line play is rarely as simple as you seem to think. We've performed far better than the sum of our parts despite starting two meh players and a rookie at LT. For the most part the line has given Bortles good enough time this season.  He's also helped it by getting the ball out on time and avoiding sacks as I said.   Line hasn't looked as good of late but either has Fournette tbf.

Low QB hit rate, low sack rate, medium pressure rate. Very well coached offensive line all things considered.

Add those two areas up and you have a top 10 unit this year. Kudos to Pat Flat.
We're also top 5 in drops, as was a problem again yesterday.
