So if SF needs defense... why not include Gipson and Jackson in the trade and get that money off the books while we are at it. Consider them toss ins lol. Maybe it'll save a pick.

If you intend to trade up to get your guy, you need to trade all the way up to the top. What do you gain by trading up to #2 then having someone leapfrog you and taking your guy? (minus lost draft picks). My guess is that they would start at the top (Arizona) and if they say they're staying put, they move down to #2.

But what does taking them at their word of staying put really mean? What if they intend to stay put and we move up to #2, then NYG make them an offer they can't refuse. If we want him, we need to convince ARI to trade down.
If the powers that be decide the talent gap between Haskins, Lock, Grier, etc, isn't significant enough, then they should stay put. It will take massive draft capital to move up to #1.

They were talking about the wind up, other than that they were talking about how similar. Although they did mention Byron could stand in the pocket and get destroyed and deliver a nice pass. Not so sure about Haskins
A blessing in disguise

These are all hypothetical but I can't imagine NYG putting together some blockbuster offer because they don't even have a 3rd rounder this year. If you're Arizona, you want a lot of picks this year and next. I'd be more worried about Oakland if they part ways with Carr considering their draft capital.

Don’t know about Arizona, but if I’m SF and NYG offered me their first and Odell for my first I’d take that deal in a heartbeat.

Looks like it was a fake tweet saying Haskins officially declared, but it was taken down. I posted it as it was retweeted by a couple of known NFL writers.
I can't ...
