What animal?

Quote:I know, but people said I am a Democrat because I am idiot, which is a totally different animal.

There's a ton of reasons why you're being called an idiot. Being a democrat just isn't one of them.
Wait, who said you were an idiot just for being a democrat?  I'm trying to find that post.

Conservative posters said people are Democrats because they are idiots who don't think for themselves. They lumped all donkeys together, which would include me.
JW, you call people on here idiots and stupid ALL THE TIME.

Thanks for quoting that so she can read it...she has me blocked, which I never really got the chance to properly thank her for that.

She has me blocked too. But that doesn't stop me from quoting her and calling her an idiot.
I don't think anyone actually just called anyone dumb and an idiot for being a democrat.  They may have called something dumb or being an idiot for a specific reason, but I don't recall anything that you just said.  Unless you can provide that specific example.

You aren't a Democrat because you're an idiot, you'd be an idiot in any party.

Post 4 in the Anti-Trump Rallies thread has a filtered word used to describe all liberals.
Quote:I never heard of any medical condition that can only be treated by smoking pot. There are legal drugs for almost everything.
It can work well for severe seizures that cant be treated with anything else

There are drugs specifically made for grand mal seizures. They work just fine for many people.

Did you miss the part where he wrote "that can't be treated with anything else"? Meaning someone not included in that group of "many people" you are talking about.
I do not know and I am not going to google search it but I bet medical mj is probably equal to or less expensive then these specific Rx meds for various things like seizures.

I did not miss that. For the record I voted for Amendment 2.

So if you have the really bad seizures that aren't controlled by anything else, you shouldn't have access? I do NOT support recreational weed despite its benefits to the economy and criminal system simply because I also believe its a psychoactive drug that impairs (even if not dangerously) individuals. But even I recognize that when someone is flopping on the ground every couple minutes because the seizure drugs don't work, they deserve another option.

Will people abuse it? Sure they will. But am I gonna deny it to someone who really needs it because people abuse it? No. And with Doctors prescribing I know it won't be that easy to get. I understand you have a personal experience with seizure drugs, but I am a medical professional who has seen thousands of patients, and know people who the seizure medications did not work for. That is my professional experience, not personal. You shouldn't need to see everything with your own eyes to have empathy.

Just imagine if your seizure drugs didn't work, and someone told you that you can't have this other medication, even tho it is known to prevent seizures that nothing else does. If your brain wasn't permanently damaged from having constant seizures, you would want it.

Here's quick a argument regarding the subject of marijuana abuse. As a medical professional, how many people have you seen that regularly abuse opioids as a result of being prescribed them by a licensed doctor?

Since I already know the answer, I'll jump straight to the bedrock of my argument; opioids with a much higher chance of addiction and much greater health risks than MJ are already legal, so why shouldn't marijuana be as well?

I 100% respect your opinion and position on the matter. The only problem I have with this argument people use is it's the same argument that was used in against alcohol. When alcohol is far more damaging to the body yet is regulated and completely legal. Not to imply people that share your opinion actively support alcohol of course, just saying it's not hard to see the similarities between the banning of pot and the banning of booze in the past. IMO, it's the single best argument for legalizing it.
