No way we lose that game with bortles

Yes we would have. Bortles would have had 3 or more turnovers
Before I ever read this thread, I told my wife that Marrone, right or wrong, has one more season. With that being said, I'm glad I chose to play golf instead of watching the game. Both games sucked.

We need to rebuild the offense, QB and big time WR to go with Dede and fix the OL

I agree we should get a new HC

No. Teams have figured Wash's predictable defense out. To go with that, guys seem to have regressed this year. Every starting defenders numbers are worse.

His previous 8 of 9 starts being losses, notwithstanding I assume.

Bortles wasnt the reason we where losing. The defense lost us 5 of those games bortles lost us 2 coacheing cost us the rest
He played well enough to beat the colts and Steelers.

The offence was definitely playing better with him. Don't be so stubborn

Like I said the offense put the defense in bad spots all year, and was terrible, we avg 13 ppg how can guys tee off on the QB when they never have a chance, last year defense was historic, you cant expect that every year, but the defense played well enough this year for us to be a playoff team if we had a decent offense.
I'm getting worried by how this team seems to have fallen into accepting L's again. Last year we had a response and I'm getting tired of the right words but nothing changing on the field. Yes injuries have hurt us but look around the league, so do plenty of other teams but they can adjust. What's to say we won't have injury problems again next year? Oh well 2020.

There was meant to be an attitude and culture change and we seem to have fallen into the bad same old Jags habits.

I'm starting to think we need a new HC to try and do that again as the more I look at Marrone, the more I'm worried I see the next Jeff Fisher.

Okay, so maybe you aren't aware, but this would LITERALLY be the only time in Jaguar history that we've fired a coach after 2 years.

Just lost to a rejected QB at the last home game. He is who we think he is.

In fact, fire Caldwell and Coughlin.

Burn it down and start over.

This is why other fans laugh at us - because of dumb comments like this. Do you seriously think that’s going to fix this current problem? Most of our starters on offense went down early in the season (and stayed down). The only questionable pick was Bortles, and even then, he might have turned out a bit better if we didn’t hire a first time coach who was in over his head and had no idea how to work with and improve a young QB.

Firing Marrone may or may not work, but firing the people who drafted 3/4 of our defense WITHOUT A BETTER REPLACEMENT is absolutely moronic. While I do agree that it is time for the Jags to move on from Bortles, it’s not time blow up this team. Now, if the next drafted QB turns out in a similar way, THEN we can start throwing stones...

I'm talking about going forward. DUH!!! When a new head coach goes 8-8 and we miss on the playoffs again in 2019. Everyone is going to want him gone.

Oh, and Malarky says hello, that one year wonder!

That or the team is finally fed up with Fournette.
Good franchises don't fire the coach less than a year after ending the best season the team has had in 18 years.

I don't know about all of that now. He was picking up steam on that long run and then OP! Knee's hurt now.

I am frustrated with him too though. Suspensions. Injuries. Some of it's preventable. Some of it's not.

But so far he's been a whole lot more miss than hit since he's been here. It's still too early to say he was the wrong choice. But it's starting to lean that way for sure.

Just glad that's the last [BLEEP] show in town this year. January 2nd can't get here soon enough.

Fournette is running behind NO LINE. Enough said! As questionable as I think LF is, there are not too many RB's that can run behind this line.

I agree with you but this is also the best roster this franchise has had in that time and has a window. It's going to be a decision of whether Marrone is the guy who can get the best out of them. He is 1-1 in that regard. Going to be a very tough decision but if we do the next guy has to fit whatever system we want to play. That may go in Marrone's favor.

Exactly. He has no running lanes, Guards pulling or Linemen getting to the 2nd level.

They can barely maintain a block let alone dictate play!

The also oft injured Dalvin Cook just ran for 136 yards on 19 carries behind an equally bad oline.
For the fans who want Marrone gone - what would your realistic expectations be with the coach of your choice, working with the players on this offense? OL is riddled with injuries. No WRs, save Westbrook, no TE. Fournette looks bad right now, and Yeldon will be gone. Now, that's what the new coach has to work with. And I'd bet my bottom dollar than even Billicheck (sp?) couldn't get this team to 8 wins.

This isn't on Marrone. This is on Caldwell. It's not the coaching on offense - it's the players on offense.
