You guys are wrong about Fournette. I think he can be elite. I just don’t want to see what happened to guys like Bettis, Faulk, Dillion, and and some other great RBs, and give up on Fournette.

The oline has been bad without our 2 best linemen, Linder and Robinson, so I hope some fans don’t give up on Fournette just yet. Heck look at his last stat line....1 touch on the 2nd half.

It reminds me of that MJD game up in Tennessee where he ran wild but didn’t get enough carries.
Everyone who thought changing the qb was the magic fix now thinks changing the head coach is a magic fix.

We just need our linemen back and then draft some tight ends receivers whatever high.

We were good then our oline died and we were bad...

I agree with you but this is also the best roster this franchise has had in that time and has a window. It's going to be a decision of whether Marrone is the guy who can get the best out of them. He is 1-1 in that regard. Going to be a very tough decision but if we do the next guy has to fit whatever system we want to play. That may go in Marrone's favor.

Exactly. He has no running lanes, Guards pulling or Linemen getting to the 2nd level.

They can barely maintain a block let alone dictate play!

This is the best defensive roster this team has had in years but the situation is woeful on offense. Aside from the obvious situation at QB, there is no real #1 even if Lee hadn't torn his ACL, four out of five starters on the O-line are injured and the starting TE as well. Players, no plays still holds true and not many coaches can make a team work when there are that many injuries and no real QB to speak of.

In the end, I believe this team's performance in 2017 should give Marrone at least one more season. Find a good QB in the draft, sign a bit more OL depth, and lock up at least one young defensive player. Couple that with players returning from injury and there should be no excuse to not perform well in 2019.

Very well said.

Thank you.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Marrone back, but the pressure will be crazy. I also wouldn't be surprised if they felt this team massively under achieved and with all the off field issues they go another direction. I only see the point in moving on from Marrone if we see someone we think is a clear upgrade or a system they will install. No point in promoting within or the same type of coach.

QB will be the biggest task this off season and what direction they decide to go will be seen. The FO have got to have a near perfect off season with their decisions, O needs a lot of depth and we don't have a lot of room to manouvere cap wise in FA so we need to hit on draft picks and young guys start progressing to that high standard.

The also oft injured Dalvin Cook just ran for 136 yards on 19 carries behind an equally bad oline.

How many wins do they have again in minn.
This is solely your opinion and you can have one, but the Jags are proud owners of the worst O-line in the NFL. minn isn't even close, they gave up 2 sacks to the dolphins, we gave up 6 to the redskins. Please!

No WRs, save Westbrook, no TE. Fournette looks bad right now, and Yeldon will be gone. Now, that's what the new coach has to work with.  And I'd bet my bottom dollar than even Billicheck (sp?) couldn't get this team to 8 wins.

This isn't on Marrone. This is on Caldwell.  It's not the coaching on offense - it's the players on offense.

I hope that the Jags resign Yeldon. This shouldn't even be a consideration. Grant comes back, Williams kid is good, LF, Yeldon, hell I hope we keep Hyde too. We used a 5th round pick there. Five backs is good for me especially with a rookie QB and LF history of getting hurt.
The offensive line is atrocious. No QBs or RBs are going to perform well behind this line. Flowers and Omameh, the Giants' castoffs and street free agents, were absolutely pitiful today. Shatley, Lageman's proclaimed diamond in the rough a couple years ago, looks like he doesn't belong on the field. Wells is mediocre, at best, in a backup role. Cann is playing like he should have been replaced this year, as some argued before camp. Injuries are not coaching issues, but just bad fortune. The depth on this team at the OL positions has been inadequate, which is a GM issue.
Speaking of running backs, why did we trade for Hyde again?

Lol, yeah, the FO practically gave up a 5th rounder for free.  Who knows, that 5th Rd pick could have been a hidden gem.
Jags are winning 10-3 Redskins have 3rd and 13,and get a first down early in 3rd qtr. thats on the defense, and they can't be that tired already.
We've playing this bad since week 5. It's not a tank. It's our current product.
I think Marrone and Caldwell are gone..
Marrone is garbage. Clean house.

This is also my worry. We are 1-9 since September. The Ravens, T*tans and Colts are fighting for the last wildcard are just 4 games ahead of us. We could have still been in the hunt.

We had the ball against the Colts (Greene fumble), Steelers (run on 3rd and 4), Can't get one inch against the Bills and lose Fournette and give Allen a TD drive, and today we throw a pick with 2 mins left and the lead. We have had more than enough  chances to win games but we haven't taken them. This was the charge thrown at Marrone after January and yes injuries have had an devastating impact, but we have beaten ourselves as well and that's something Marrone and his staff have to show they can fix in these last 2 games.
Should be. It’s a shame though. Caldwell and his Bradley put marrone in this situation with extremely high expectations. Expectations that I don’t think any coach could achieve.
I would only fire Marrone if Tom wants to come down from the booth.

I’d take stability over changing out coaches just for the sake of change. Look at Gruden up in LA.

We should have beat the Titans during that low scoring game.
