What about this UF lineman?

Taylor will be fine.  I feel Fowler will as well.  Now Taven was a toss up, at best, since the moment he was drafted 1st round.

Dareus and Abry? Calais on passing downs?

I wasn't going to bother responding, but you're right.

The middle isn't weak.  There's merely one 3 tech in the rotational mix who is a young question mark as of now.
Let's not pretend we know exactly what Taven Bryan is going to do coming in and out of the game at 3 tech in September just yet.

Marcell Dareus will be a beast eating double teams when asked to do so, and he'll be a beast rushing the passer when they ask him to. Not weak. Abry is solid as the day is long, with an occasional flash. Not weak.

Are we weak in the middle on third down when Allen and Ngakoue are wide and Dareus and Campbell are collapsing the A and B gaps? Nah.

Yeah Bryan was apparently running with the 2s and 3s...Not good. When will we learn to stay away from UF linemen?

These takes are terribly misguided by UF hate lol
Long list of first round busts? After a singluar season and a partial offseason Bryan is a bust? Could it be, perhaps, that Bryan is running with the 2s because of the talent we have on the DL? So where is the need for DT?
Could it be he's a 3T and was played mostly as "big end" as a rookie and is now moving back to a position where we're actually full of talent. Not sure why he would start over Dareus or Jones, honestly. (Or Calais, or Malik last year...)

I'm glad there's a bunch of you all out there worrying so much.
Means I don't have to worry at all.

Just because you don't like UF, whether because of their fans or because you like FSU or Miami or whatever, you shouldn't project such hatred to mostly unproven players.

"I don't worry bout nothin', cuz worryins' a waste of my time"

Preseason hasn't even started and some people are in mid season form with knee jerk reactions and hand wringing lol

A second year player "running with the 2s and 3s" when the starters are proven veterans doesn't really mean much, especially during training camp.  We'll probably have a better idea after next week.
Sounds like WIlliams is showing out. Can't wait to watch him in the preseason.

Not good about Oliver, hope it's not serious..#BecauseJaguars

When i hear Allen is not showing out, i hear its because its training camp.  When i hear Williams is showing out, i hear its because he is ready to tear it up this year.  I don't know which view point to believe and which to disregard....Training Camp lol.

Love reading that.  GOD im hoping they found a "Sam Mills" type LB who can just lay WOOD.

Between Calais, Allen, Jack, Quincy, Jalen, and Harrison.....this defense is going to have some PUNISHERS out there.....

nfldraftdiamonds loved him.

Here's Armstead giving some medicine back to Williams a bit later in the day.

(also - the Oliver injury was said to appear very minor by the radio guys in attendance - for those who may be concerned about the TE)

Maybe Josh Allen needs it to be gametime before he starts flashing.

From what I've seen of Quincy he just doesn't have an off switch.. or a slow down switch.. it's 100% all day.
Quincy's style of play reminds me of Bob Sanders, the ex-Colt. Sanders would constantly "punish" any receivers or backs he came into contact with. Unfortunately, he was not able to stay on the field enough. There were just a couple seasons in which he played more than 6 games. Williams is slightly bigger (about 20 pounds more), but I hope he learns to tone it down a little. It is fun to watch and no doubt it intimidates the opposing players, but the Jags can't afford to have him constantly on the injury list.

Or penalties and suspensions from leading with his helmet, which in a lot of his highlights he would have gotten by the droves in the league.

I can't wait to see Williams in game action.

At this point, I feel as confident about Williams as I did post draft about the first three picks.

If he keeps this up, a lot of people (message board posters local media guys and national media pundits) are going to eat a lot of crow because of him.
