Ehhh.
I don't think it makes him look like a fool.
It just increases speculation around the severity of the injury vs Ramsey just trying not to play.
I personally like the fact that Khan made a point of meeting with Ramsey in some attempt to move things along.
I usually agree with you on ALL your posts. Maybe the word "fool" is a bit much but what I mean is it doesn't make Khan look good. I never said I didn't like the fact that Khan had a meeting with him. I'm glad our owner did that. What I'm saying is I'm sure Khan can't be too happy with claiming he was going to play and then for Jalen to not play.
Yeah. I agree with your line of thought, but Khan never
claimed he was going to play.
He said "I think he's going to play." He speculated.

Agreed 100%. Max fines for here on out. Dont trade him and franchise him in 2 years and the year after.
Make him work the damn concession stand.
I've defended Jalen with this and in the past with Jalen being Jalen but I'm so fed up with this crap.
He hasn't said a word in weeks other than podcasts. The FO keeps making out that it's an injury and he will be back.
Is this just the new player/agent move of make yourself as difficult and disruptive as possible and hope the team wants you out before you kill the season?

You're right, I apologize for using the word "claim" on my second post. I didn't use it on my first post about this.
My point is that Khan just can't be too happy in general going out of his way in an interview to weigh in on the situation after having a "heart to heart" with him and then saying in an interview he thinks he will play today.

Unfortunately with the injury, they may not be able to. He probably has some injuries just like every other player. If they can't fine him, IR him. Force him to go to the stadium every day at 6am for treatment and him if he is TC late.

He's listed on the injury report, so he not technically "sitting out".
The optics of fining "injured" players are not good.
More drama....from the drama queen.

He probably thinks Jalen was going to play because Ramsey probably told him he would in the heart to heart. Why else would he say that?
What a joke. Him for Peterson sounds good to me.

I know I'm nitpicking your posts (sorry about that), but I feel like you have a negatively skewed perspective on how this went down. Here's some more perspective:
Khan was in the middle of a tv spot through the Wall Street Journal's network talking about his auto parts business and the stock market. In the middle of that, the journalist asked him about Jalen Ramsey. He made an attempt to give an optimistic response.
I found it to be just an owner saying the right thing given the actual context of the situation.
Absolutely Khan is not happy that JR is not playing, but his giving a WSJ reporter a Sunday school answer in the middle of an unrelated tv spot is not a big deal at all. It just got blown out of proportion on twitter.

Yeah true, good point. I guess when I see it that way it makes a lot more sense. This is why I usually always agree with your posts. Thanks for the logic and background.
Whatever ....There was a reason that Khan had some "optimism" after their "heart to heart".
And what ever was said by JR .....I imagine in his usual foul mouthed way....he simply misled the owner of the franchise.
It's quite a mess and at this point.....just IR him so we don't through the "does she or doesn't she" drama the rest of the season.
It's really gotten old.

I don't disagree with this at all. I was just trying to give some perspective on Khan's comments.
He may indeed have been misled by Ramsey, and I'm absolutely fed up with the lingering injury and attitude.
I'm just not pretending that I know exactly what was said in that meeting or exactly what's going on with Ramsey's back.
Such a damn shame man. All this because Tom Coughlin had to open his decrepit mouth (and Jalen is a primmadonna)
There isn't much the team can do guys. He's showing up for dr appts, rehab, limited practicies, team activies, etc. That keeps him above the threshold for fines and conduct detrimental to the team. It's a lot like the mystery quad injury Kawhi had that torpedo'd an entire Spurs season. Y'all keep saying the players have no leverage, but they do. And it's to do this. This is all they can do. The team can play hardball and throw away a season like the Spurs did, or trade him now and try to get stuff to help you win now.

Optics? Why should we give a crap about that, Jalen sure doesn't. Hes playing the game, and the Jaguars need to step up before they get beat even worse by him.
Is Goedert, 1st, and a 3rd enough? They’re gonna be picking in the mid to late twenties probably

It didn't matter who's fault trigger his actions. Jalen's actions tell me he didn't see Jacksonville as a long term tenure. He probably wishes the Cowboys drafted him.

I dont think the Eagles would do that
