After Titans blowout, we now have the #9 pick (per Tankathon). The Rams pick is still #20 pending their game against Ravens. By my calcualations, even a loss keeps them at 20.

Yes, what this team needs is another receiver.
@Or is he converting to TE?@
Get the big uglies early.

We got needs EVERYWHERE. Not too mention Dede is a FA next year and Conley is just a guy. Mine as well take the BAP, which would also help Minshew succeed.

#12 is under contract through 2020 (next year)
I do think this corps would be put over the top by an early receiver pick.
But I do not think it is a wise move if a similar upgrade is available at LT and I rank the position below several others in terms of need. (OL, NT, LB, CB)
I'd not take a WR before the 3rd round as things stand and more likely the 4th.

Agreed. WR is not a need, but right now we're in no man's territory when it comes to actual needs. We're too low to get players like Joe Burrow, Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs, Jeff Okudah, Derrick Brown or Grant Delpit and #9 would be too high for guys like Kristian Fulton, Paulson Adebo or Isaiah Simmons. #9 would be right in the area where the very talented WR class begins to come off the board. Personally, I'm fine with Jerry Jeudy. He would represent the best player on the board and he would give us a nice core of Chark, Westbrook and Jeudy. He also might be the best route runner I've seen in a few years. I'd be fine with him.

We need to move up a few spots to get him. I highly doubt he'll make it past #6.

I would draft Joe Burrow if he fell to #9 and not even blink. He won't be there though. With that said.
If Andrew Thomas and Derrick Brown are still on the board. That's a tough choice to make. Andrew is a nasty OT. Well rounded. Balanced. Plays well in the run and pass game. Would be an instant upgrade over Robinson. I would like to see this next staff though try like hell to get Robinson to somehow fit in at G if they do opt to replace him at LT. Robinson has a mean streak to him. Better inside I feel.
Derrick Brown too though. Man, that's a tough choice there to make between him and Thomas for sure.

(11-27-2019, 11:11 AM)Kane Wrote: [ -> ]Teams currently ahead of us
Cardinals - play the Rams twice and Steelers and Cleveland and Seattle. I really think they can get 2 more wins. Which will make them a 5 win team, with a tie.
Lions - Jeff Driskel isn't leading them to too many more wins I don't think. But they do play the Broncos and Bears, overall not very good teams. But assume they finish with just the 3 wins.
Falcons - they got us one their schedule, so there's an easy one. plus divisional games with the Saints who they just beat, the Panthers who are very beatable, and the Bucs. They can hang it up against the 9ers though. They'll finish with 6 wins (us and 2 out of 3 remaining NFCS games)
Broncos have a tough slate but winnable games vs the Lions, Bolts, and Raiders. They'll probably snag at least one more win to put them at 4 total.
Giants have the Skins and Phins coming up so give them two more. That puts them at 4 total wins too.
The Skins, Phins, and bungles are not winning much more, if anything the Phins and bungles play each other, so someone has to win and maybe the Phins get a lay up at years end with Pats resting guys with an AFC bye.
Skins, Phins, Bungles all finish with worse records, and a handful of teams will have 4 wins.
I think we finish picking at 5 or 6.
Which is good position for really good talent. Burrow and maybe another QB will be taken high (Bungles, Phins?)
top OT option probably will be taken and Chase Young.
If we're picking at 5, we'll have our pick of the litter or possibly for the first time ever trade back and collect more picks.
As per the Rams, the only game that I'm notching as a definite win for them is the 'Boys. And they probably split with the Cards. Finishing at 8-8 usually has you picking in the mid to late teens.
Good area for OGs or perhaps a stud TE if there is one out there this draft.
