I bet Olson is regretting putting that pool in now.
Quote:Gus is losing the locker room because a player voiced frustration over play calling by the OC? What? Yeah that makes sense.

With comments like this, I assume you support GB as HC?
Gus Bradley has authority to say, "Hey Greg, let's stop with the super conservative plays. Open it up, we need to score."

Gus is a very inconsistent person. Week 1, " we won't accept losing" after losing to a decent Packer team. Week 2, after getting destroyed by a depleted Charger team, "we saw some positives and we will learn from this." Ok, so losing was ok in San Diego?

Yesterday, the team played sooo inconsistent. Bortles looks good for 2 quarters, and terrible for two quarters. Offensive line looks good for two quarters and terrible for two. Defense allows 21 straight completions, and then turns up and looks completely different. This is a major problem... and I blame this on Gus. I'm not sure what he's saying in the locker room, but I get the feeling he is telling mixed expectations.
Quote:So... Sen'Derrick is frustrated with the loss, as he should be, and he voiced his opinion that the Jaguars got too conservative near the end. This much makes sense, but how we go from this to Gus losing the locker room? I don't get that at all.

Quite frankly, the fact that he's frustrated and wants to win suggests that things are just fine. I'd feel more like Gus might be losing the locker room if there was evidence that the players simply didn't care anymore.

No player has called out the play calling/decision making in Gus' entire tenure here. I think it speaks volumes that someone like Marks is speaking out about what the team is doing.

I think people are seeing what they want to see. If you really want to look at who the comments have been towards...its Olly.

Players questioned him openly regarding the 4th down call vs. the Packers. Then again this game about how conservative we were. Its not just Senn with his comments. Hurns and I think TJ both said they thought (and would have liked) to have been more aggressive in those three change-ups.
As much as I hate to say it, Phil Simms has always said when someone asked him how many points do you need to score. He always replied more! Not just enough to win, but more. No lead is safe in the NFL and if you don't take the kill shot when it's offered up to you on a platter then it's definetely a coaching issue.

Belicheat doesn't ever let up and there's a reason he's a winning coach.
For everybody's information, when a player like Marks makes a comment like that, it is a sign that Gus is in fact losing the players. If you don't interpret it as such, you are a blind homer.

You can assume how you like. With comments like yours I can assume you think an NFL team is run like Madden. Please explain how Mark's comments show locker room has turned on GB?
I think the players probably like Gus as a person.  But, by now, surely they've lost faith in his abilities as a Head Coach.

For one, airing laundry and questioning the game plan publicly is the first sign of losing a locker room. OPEN YOUR EYES!

Stop the temper tantrum because others have a different opinion than you. "Listen to my opinion or I'll scream!"

It isn't an opinion young buck. It's a fact now.

Also, who is screaming?

Quote:It just does a disservice to the interim to try to take over a team all while taking that long of a trip. I definitely wouldn't mind it, I just don't see it happening.

I also have a horrible feeling he'll last the year regardless.

Exactly. Part of me thinks Bradley isn't going anywhere but if it is going to happen the most logical time to me would be after the London game.
Quote:We played "Del Rio Ball" to protect that 1 point lead. So hard to watch. Did we throw the ball downfield even once yesterday?

The one time we let Blake sling it on 3rd to convert, he threw a pick. You can't win for losing.

No it's not. It is a sign of frustration in your teammates ability. Guaranteed they are poke at one another right now and losing trust in one another. Gus isn't a factor in that locker room, yet.
Good. Long past time. Maybe the players are tired of losing and want to start winning now instead of collecting millions and eating sundaes at Uncle Gussy's Country Club.

Defense got them 2 huge turnovers and they couldn't do anything with them. It's like they were just hoping the clock would run out or something.

You might want to review the definition of "fact"

I believe the exact opposite
