Yes, a lot of Democrats want gas prices to go up. Yes, they favor policies that usually (and recently did) cause inflation.
They also favor... wait for it... electric cars and hybrid cars.
If they really wanted to herd you into dense cities using only buses to get around, they would not be trying to create these additional options.
Think!
That's a normal height batter with a pitcher, catcher, and ump who are all high on their own supply. Cut back dudes!
That low income and many middle class families can't afford.
Most Chevy Silverados sold today are 2.7L turbo gas engine. This is their least expensive base model. It offers about 350 lb*ft of torque and gets 20mpg combined.
20 years ago, the most commonly sold 4WD Silverado had a 4.3L naturally aspirated gas engine and offered about 260 lb*ft of torque and got 15mpg combined.
Even if you want to stick with full size trucks, you have options to use less gas. If you buy a newer used truck, it will probably do better on gas than an older used truck.

It's undoubtably the goal to move people into city centers and public transportation. You know this. It's part of your naive "optimism." Force is the word if eventually remove all other options. The fact that it hasn't happened in 3 years isn't proof of absence of this goal. It's just not feasible yet.

The following paper from the WEF outlines EXACTLY what FSG was saying needed to happen, and the Democrats are following the playbook to a T. More compact cities and reducing vehicles from 2.1 billion (1.5 billion of just passenger cars) to .5 billion by 2050. That's 30 years. They are doing exactly what we say they are doing. They are telling you what they are doing. You're just mistake your naivety for intelligence.
WEF_The_Urban_Mobility_Scorecard_Tool_2023.pdf (weforum.org)
- SEAM Transport Modes: Advocates for the growth of shared, electric, connected, and automated (SEAM) transport modes to reduce projected vehicle numbers by 2050 to half a billion.
- Emissions Reduction: Aims to cut emissions from passenger vehicles by 80% compared to a business-as-usual scenario, potentially reducing CO2 in the atmosphere by 3.9 billion tons annually.
- Compact Cities: Emphasizes the shift to more compact cities to support the efficient use of SEAM transport modes.
- Urban Mobility Scorecard Tool: Introduces a tool to help cities assess and benchmark their progress towards sustainable urban mobility, considering factors like infrastructure, policy, and technology.
- Case Studies: Includes case studies from different cities to illustrate the application of the scorecard tool and the benefits of adopting SEAM transport modes.
- Policy and Planning Guidance: Provides guidance for city planners and policymakers on developing strategies for sustainable urban mobility.

Where in this report is anyone forced to give up their car? Which police force answers to the WEF?
Where did anyone say they were going to be forced to give up their car? We are talking about the systemic approach to taking away options.

I think we already established that you don't speak for them.
In any case, there are more options now than there were before.
The word "force" you are focused on is typical Mikey semantics. This is about taking away options, which ultimately compels people in a direction. There are currently 1.5 billion passenger cars. The WEF wants to eliminate two-thirds of those in 30 years. The GOAL is less options. Just like FSG said, they would have to stack people in cities to make that happen and wouldn't you know... it's on the agenda. Stop moving the goal posts, dog. The GOAL is clearly outlined.

The WEF has existed for 52 years. How many of their goals have they achieved?

You seem to know more about the WEF than me. How many of their "goals" have they achieved?
Why don't you look at some of their goals that they claim they accomplished:
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2023/12/w...ighlights/
Among these:
Building the public-private sector (charter statement)
Opening the door to China
German reunification and building a united Europe
Bill Gates vaccine initiative
The launch of DEI initiatives
Creating the G20 conference and getting US Presidents involved
Building future leaders to assume roles as heads of state
Taking control of the tech sector
I mean, those are just the notable and transparent goals. This is a very powerful organization, and if I bothered to get into the minutia of their vision, I would be here all day. There are also goals that are unstated (stated by individuals within the organization, but no official public record). That's a different story.

Yeah and I built the Brooklyn Bridge. Gimme a break.
Yeah, ok... so you're stupid.

The WEF does not get to take credit for China buying so much US securities and becoming a relatively stable business environment. The Chinese did that for themselves!
The Germans, man, tell a German that some rich dudes meeting in Switzerland get the credit for their reunification. They did it themselves! They voted for it in a referendum!
You keep saying I'm not skeptical enough. Why do you take the WEF at their word?
Bro, you are such a naive turd. You believe we, the people, shape our government, but not multi-billionaires. The richest people in the WORLD are members of the WEF. It costs THEM hundreds of thousands of dollars to attend Davos meetings. Why do they do that? Out of the kindness of their hearts for humanity? Get real. Everything on that list makes these people have more power and money. They are literally cultivating the next generation of leaders who align with their vision for the future. They will insert their leaders into all levels of world governments and reinforce that authority with the corporate dollar and power. That's their goal. THEY say it. For you to pretend like these people aren't shaping the future is ludicrous.
Read Kissinger's World Order. He was Schwab's mentor. Read about Schwab's the Great Reset. They are creating a new government that is run by corporations. As of 2020, there were 120 corporations in the WEF's International Business Council, known as the IBF, which represents almost EVERY major company you deal with on the regular. The president just happens to be the CEO of Bank of America's. You should pull your head out of your [BLEEP] one day and learn something. Go read about their initiatives. Go read about what they are trying to accomplish. You are the least educated know-it-all I've ever met. I would be here for hours trying to explain to you why it's important to watch what they are doing, but you're too thick-headed to learn anything.

Do I need to break this down for you, too? Or can you learn something on your own? Btw, partners like Black Rock sit on their anti-corruption board, which is beautiful.
Here's the current metrics they are pushing down to all companies.

Why do they do it? Prestige, status, feeling like they're part of something bigger than themselves. It's a country club that added a liturgy.

Why torture yourself dude.
Conspiracy theories like the WEF being actually in control of the things they think they control are the refuge of the frustrated and dissatisfied.
I'm sorry life was less kind to you folks than it was to me.
Hope it changes. Not for me. But for you.

Eh. For every Mikey that doesn't learn anything, I hope there's one or two curious souls who push their knowledge forward. Even though he's probably a lost cause, I just can't stand letting someone get away with such intellectual laziness.
