If Khan for some reason fires Meyer, do we clean house and fire Baalke too? Who would you want to replace Baalke and Urban?
There's only 1 correct answer.. Gus..

10000% Baalke should go too.
Really? you are asking if we should get rid of Baalke too?  Rolleyes
Khan gave Dave Caldwell 8 years with his abysmal record. There is no way we fire Meyer after one season. I would like to see a new offensive staff brought in.

Give me Caldwell for 32 more years over even just 1 more year of Urban's trash [BLEEP].
Baalke needs to walkie.

Whatever input he had in the off-season moves is terrible. I'm sure Meyer may have gotten some advice. Meyer should have been more counseled on selecting players/positional coaches. Either Baalke helped make those poor choices, and if his input wasn't well received, he has no power to make positive contributions.
Both of them should be fired and replaced with either Malik Boyd and Brian Daboll or Willie Davis and Eric Bieniemy.

Baalke is here because of Meyer. I believe the decision was already made last season and Meyer didn't want to take over with that team. Then Baalke came in made the calls for the most part in the background to start setting it up.

Yes. Again, go to a proven front office and coaching staff in the NFL that's been established and poach from it. Joe Schoen (Assistant GM) and Brian Daboll (OC) in BUF. Joe Horitz (Director of College Scouting) and Greg Roman (OC) in BAL. Eliot Wolf (Consultant) and Josh McDaniels (OC) in NEW.

Another name that needs to be mentioned. Rick Smith. He stepped away from the gig in HOU because of his wife's needs off the field (she was terminally ill) and he's been trying to get back into football since last year. Adam Peters (Director of Player Personnel) in SF is another name worth citing as he's been around some decent rosters between his time in Denver and now San Francisco.
Unfortunately, Khan didn't lure and hire Urban to Jax with a mandate to turnaround a 1-15 horrible ball club in 1 year.

He also didn't hire him to make things worse, yet here we are.

Agreed. When you make a team that was 1-15 worse than what they were, that gives more than enough grounds for firing. How hard is it to show some improvement from a team that was 1-15 the previous season? It should be pretty easy, yet Urban Meyer and Trent Baalke have done the impossible. They actually made us less competitive. Every time I think we've hit rock bottom, we achieve a new level of "suckage."

The only thing that’s really worse than last year is offensive production. The defense and overall record is better than last season. There’s a way better chance that Dan Mullen is our new OC/QB coach than Urban getting fired.

I know math isn't a priority in some households so let me inform you that 2-8 is better than 1-15

I wondered how long that would take! Glad it's you with your tongue in cheek style instead of one of the Ubr Zealots who state it in sincerity.

Might even call him into the office first.

Records do not accurately describe if a team is better or worse. We scored 9 points in our win against Buffalo. 9 freakin points! In 95% of games, if you score 9 points you lose. We got lucky that Josh Allen played his tail off in that game. We barely beat a bad Miami team on a long, last second FG. Neither one of these wins were convincing. At least we could move the ball a little last season. This year the play calling is so vanilla that it's unwatchable. Three and out on nearly every series. That's not improvement. It's not even status quo.

And those totals seem to drop every week.
