Kick him to the curb. It's time to start the healing process before Lawrence and the franchise is completely ruined.

He may do this on purpose to get fired.

I definitely believe Urban Meyer wants to move on from being Jaguars HC,  with the financial benefits of his entire contract.  But after listening this morning to Meyer's post game press conference from yesterday,  I also believe that Meyer wants to get back at some people in the Jaguars organization.

Meyer has control and final say on everything. He says he doesnt micromanage yet he has control and final say on everything.

2 - 11. That's what he's done. Severe regression. No identity. No foundation. [BLEEP] show after [BLEEP] show after [BLEEP] show.

He's not a PRO. He's a rah-rah college guy. Get him the [BLEEP] out of here!

So glad the local hacks are doing their jobs. Let the national guys break the story and when the coast is clear, the local sport talking heads piling on.
I won't be moving on with Khan if he doesn't kick Urban out. The offseason was a total joke. I don't care about any of the twitterverse or other reporting. I'm not even on social media and just use the old eyes and observation. I am not a Pollyanna and just drawing hysteria. This has been an absolute case study in driving a franchise into the ground. I disagreed with the hire but was willing to see some positives at any point this season. Without the media coverage or other items, I just can't believe in Khan as owner if he doesn't make some tough decisions. I don't even care if his son and his spreadsheets take over.

Throwing darts at a draft board would have had more success. With extra picks and extra cash, we have one rookie playing and look how they are coaching him. The free agency was a joke. We have a top 100 guy at RB and all they have done is dump on him. Then you add in the circus signing and the fake QB competition and that only gets you to the preseason. All preseason we took reps away from the rookie and it was wait for the season to start they are holding back.

That week 1 team was awful but represents a high point of the offense. We have 2 wins because the Bills and Dolphins lost the games.

This is the staple of what Khan has delivered. I admire his patience but he sucks as an owner. He wasted all of the draft capital by being patient with the GM that lucked into one playoff run. I loved that 2017 defense but the offense was flawed. Chasing that 2017 model has ruined this franchise. We may have a decent defense going forward but the offense is dark ages.
I would also rather putTony khan in as GM and let him hire a new coach than stay with this regime, and that is saying something.

They have to because locals lose access if they report this stuff first. Once it's out of the bag they can't be blamed. A local could have even leaked it to get it out there in exchange for then coming on their show or some other type of payment.

The national people don't care and they are getting info from agents, players, or someone high up in the org that wants to be able to preview stories for providing statements.

Meyer trolling us at this point

As crazy as this sounds,  Urban Meyer's answer is a Jaguars positive under the circumstance of Meyer being the teams HC.   IMHO, the # 1 reason why the Jaguars Defense has improved substantially and has become the far better unit compared to the Jaguars Offense is Meyer doesn't take a hands on approach with the Jaguars Defense.

Someone should ask him how Pharoh Cooper is doing and if he should get more playing time. He'd probably say "[Cooper] is getting more play time. He's playing more snaps I believe. I don't have his numbers in front of me."

Just some name of a player who isn't on the team. Cause I genuinely believe that'd be his response right now.

AMAZINGLY CLUELESS

How do you think someone is getting more playing time, only to be informed that he did not even play.

Way too funny.  Playing on that concept. What about asking him if Pharoh Cooper should get more playing time after he made a few good catches today. Urban would state that we need to find a way to get him the ball more often in our offense.
As if things aren't bad enough, I was watching NFL Network and they were showing highlights from the Bucs/Bills game and they were raving about how Tom Brady hardly ever gets touched and it all started when they drafted Tristan Wirfs. They all agreed that he was the best RT in the NFL and he brought a tough guy mentality to thgat team. Every time I hear Wirfs name it's like a dagger to the heart. So many of us on this board were begging to draft Wirfs when he was available with our #9 overall pick in 2020. Instead, we reached for C.J. Henderson and look how that turned out. So many bad choices and decisions this team has made over the years have set us back so far. How much further could this team fall? Is is possible to get any worse? Right now we are paying for those terrible choices. This team has to get smarter and it has to happen soon. We can't keep making bad decisions and keeping Meyer in any capacity is a horrible decision. There is absolutely no coming back from the mistakes he has made and continues to make. He has lost the respect of his team and he's certainly lost the respect of the fans by continuing to lie and pass blame. There is "coach speak" and then there is flat out lying. Meyer lies and Khan is letting him drag this entire team down.
National media killing meter today

PREACH

They're all preaching, everybody is. Urban is getting lit up by nearly everyone in national media now. There's no way Khan can't see/ignore this. It's everywhere and it's loud.

Amen to that. I was sick when we didn't take Wirfs.

Urbs ain't going anywhere,  lol.

Meyer addressed this at length in the postgame press conference yesterday. The Marvin Jones incident is not true.
He did admit to getting on his coaches. He did not give specifics as to how he addressed them, but should he not get on them? I’m not defending any words he may have said, but the fact of the matter is if a component of the team is performing subpar, the coaches should be held accountable.

Too many folks are getting red-faced and spittle-flecked about inaccurate “reports” of Meyer’s situation. Yes, we suck. No, there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Is Meyer the long term solution? Right now it appears not.

However, one thing is for sure, there’s a lot of so called ‘sports journalists’ out there who are promulgating inaccurate and downright false stories in an attempt to capitalize on the Jaguars’s historically abysmal record and its angry fans for click$. It’s bad enough we suck so bad, don’t let speculation on Twitter drive-bys and half [BLEEP] reporting stoke it up to a froth.

This is an absolute dumpster fire. I feel like you took two steps forward yesterday but just took 3 steps back. Urban is gone and it may be this week.

Nope. He’s here till next season.

It is horribly suspect that the only voice opposing any negative press is Urban. Nobody speaking up to say that the media is fabricating stories of Jones walking out, or arguing, or coaches supporting their boss for his way of reflecting on his past success as a way to establish dominance over his underlings. The fact of the matter is for the past year, there has been not one thing that Meyer has done to make any person doubt the veracity of any of theses stories, rumors, anecdotes, call them what you will.

I agree with you that if left solely to Shad, he may let Urban have another year. However, I think that the media, assistants and locker room combined may influence his decision. The players didn't make the hire nor did they put together the contract that the coach signed, but they are left to deal with the mess the owner's choice is making. Shad chose to give him an insanely generous offer to come here and lead this team. If Urban is failing to lead or meet expectation, it's on Shad to make the tough choice to either stick with the guy who continues to destroy the team from within or put egg on his own face and admit failure.

If he keeps him around another year, we may not have anything left to salvage.

This is the stupidity of putting a GM on a hot seat. He didn't perform and yet he gets to keep picking and ignoring reality. This franchise
