not according to my dad,its about the team, coaches ,and players. My dad has been telling me for the last few days the whole clown thing is an insult to the owner, coaches, and team. He also said your not being a real jags fan,and supporting the team.
My dad is veryy very much againest the whole clown thing.
Khan is already keenly aware of fan frustration. Clowns in their suits serve no purpose other than embarrass themselves and possibly offend a guy who has put a lot of his personal wealth into this city.
The kid did the best he could this year with the hand he was dealt. He is 1 of 22 players on the field. He just needs better teammates and coaches to flourish.
Hey, I'm of the opinion that if people want to look like morons while they're watching the game...go for it.

The majority of the fans already look like morons considering they're shelling out hard earned money to watch this owner basically [BLEEP] all over there faces every Sunday.

My mommy thinks the clown thing is funny, and she has been telling me the last year that urban meyer is a bad boy.

You're right about that, but I bought into the hype and bought season tickets. So if no one buys my ticket, which I have posted on Ticketmaster for a very reasonable discounted price, I am going to the game.
It'll be interesting the see how many people actually put on the clown stuff.
There will be a handful people in the section where the Twitter people meet. The rest of the stadium, i mean the few occupied seats, will be occupied by people without a clown nose.

I say it all the time. I appreciate the living hell out of the season ticket holders and optimistic faithfuls. I truly, truly, truly do.
It's a [BLEEP] travesty what you all have to stomach on Sunday's. A travesty. Not to mention games being taken away and shipped across the pond.
I love all of you for keeping this team relevant in this market. It's tough. It's very tough. I want to commit on my end but my profession in the transportation industry makes it difficult as weekends are apart of the job.
Maybe that will change in the near future. The fans aren't morons. They're passionate. My point was that, Khan has already clowned this fanbase to the tune of 41 - 118 in 10 years of ownership.
If it's moronic to dress up like a clown to show your disgust and apathy for a foolish owner that's introduced several clown shows and circus acts to this city.
Then, [BLEEP] it. He's already got you by the wallet. He's clearly not listening. So, what else should fans do?

1. 49ers have been around forever and have a legacy. The 80's cemented their fandom for generations to come.
2. Errybody knowss the dirty birds from Hotlanta travel well. Especially if it's just a few miles south! Sticky ikcy! Ohhhhh Oooooooo Sticky icky! Ohhhhhhhh Ooooooo.
The fanbase has been far too easy on the management of this team. It doesn't make anyone look any more foolish to dress as a clown than it does to wear a bag on your head or show up faithfully to every game for thousands of dollars a year just to watch the team [BLEEP] the bed.
At least the clowns are making a statement.
We as a fan base should be careful about what we put out there associated with the franchise. It may seem cool to go all emotional and give in to the clown idea, but do we really want to see other fans donning clown costumes when our team plays away games going forward? Do we really want this look as an unofficial mascot to be used against us at every turn?
Look, I have a problem with Shad as well and think keeping Baalke is a terrible move. It seems like he is navigating a minefield with a personally imposed blindfold on. However, this stunt could have negative ramifications years into the future and clowns are creepy as crap anyway.
The Jags don't usually make national news unless it's bad and I, for one, wouldn't like to give our detractors any new ammo to load. I say we just bring out the bags, after all it is tradition right?

Dude literally nobody cares enough about this team to even attempt to mock us. That's half the problem. We aren't even a laughingstock. We're just inconsequential. Nobody even takes notice.
Interesting thread and nice to see the different views. Im kind of torn on this
On one hand i think we need to make some sign to Khan that this can't go on. 3 wins in 2 years, a terrible football team that struggles to stay in a game for a half. Bad management, bad team management, no strategy or improvement. Its embarrassing how bad this team has been the last few seasons.
But on the other hand does this achieve that? How are the players going to take this? Will they think this is also aimed at them ( i know its about Baalke), how does this look to future FA and draft picks? Weve already had guys who just want out and Allen Robinson complained about fans booing the team and left.
Like others have said, its a free country, if thats what people want to do i get it but i dont think Khan is suddenly going to change because of it.

Lots of people care about this team, you included, and this forum wouldn't be here if they didn't.
Advocating for the return of the bags is just an avenue for the disenfranchised fans to be able to express their angst without creating a new one, so I am not attempting to "mock us" as you put it, I am one of the
"US"...you numbnuts.
This is an even more effective way to protest to be honest. If Shad is going to show the fans a giant middle finger when we have been so crystal clear about what needs to happen, then the fans should show the middle finger to the sponsors.

That was how the Washington Football Team had to change their name. When the sponsors are getting angry change is coming.

The thing that Jags fans aren't realizing is that film of all the "khlowns" in the crowd from this game will probably still be showing up on TV 20 years from now. Anytime we go through a 3-game losing streak, those clowns will show up on TV. The only problem is that the film clip will be used to make Jaguars fans out to be the clowns. As you said, TownCenterJag, we get enough of that kind of embarrassment already. Why bring it on ourselves?
